It’s Wednesday, and we are halfway through our week! Now it is time to decompress from all your worries and stress, for a new tag is here, #refreshwednesday! Honestly this tag is just to talk about plant related things to refresh and restart after half a week kind of just chill out? Y know. And now, How are you doing today, I’d really like to know! Honestly the week has been stressful with loads of work put on me 😥 but this community is all I need to make my day! Anyway, on to plant related things, have you heard about how to fix you’re spider plant? Last week I completely obliterated spider plants here on #PlantRant , but I just heard the ultimate way! I’ve heard water conditioners do the trick! I’m ordering some, that’s one worry to take off my list! So… miracle grow. Killer or just not great? Well it depends on the type! Sometimes different types affect different plants! and you know I should do a test on that 🧐🧐🧐! But main point: killer or just not the best choice? Well, I’m happy with either opinions, one might say it’s a killer, and while I don’t necessarily agree, we all can have different opinions! I think it’s good if your just starting, but in the long run, it’s not the best choice. All it does is speed up growth and make leaves flimsier. So, my answer? Yes and kind of no. Something cool about alocasias is when it’s wintery or cold, you don’t really have to worry about brown tips or dropping of leaves, because there’s usually 1-2 leaves. Since they are in dormancy, they’re saving energy! Just a little thing I like! For this one, I’d like your thoughts and opinions! What do you think is the most controversial plant? For me, I’d go cathlea. You either love them or hate them with a burning passion. It’s mostly for me, the spider mites. Their favorite plant to hitchhike on! What do you think 🤔 I’d like to know! And this is Luke signing off, have a great rest of your week, and stick around for… THE PLANT RANT! Every Sunday! #SpiderPlant #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #PlantCorner #PestControl #PlantLove #TropicalPlants #SpiderPlantBabies #SpiderPlants #MiracleGro #Miraclegrow #Fertilizer #AlocasiaAddicts #Alocasia #AlocasiaPolly #AlocasiaSilverDragon #AlocasiaPinkDragon #Calathea #CalatheaCrew #CalatheaFreddie #calatheacare #brunchataudreys #GregGang #Greggers 4 21 Comments @crispynug · 4w I don’t know how to help my jungle velvet :( 2 5 Comments @GreenPurpose · 1M Ms. Sofia! So my plants have had a little neglect. However some of my plants are finally growing. My calathea Musaica is popping out 2 new leaves. My peperomia has popped a little leaf. After a year of struggle my lucky bamboo are showing new growth. And recovering well from choppy teeth kitty. And last but not least my pearl and jade has started shooting off new stems. #calathea #calatheamusaica #peperomia #pothospearlsandjade 5 4 Comments @TopFlyingsquid · 4M Never give up! Never surrender! #notdeadyet #NewGrowth #itsabouttime #greggang My brother gave me this vittata along with a musaica and never never ctenanthe last December. The ctenanthe has been fine, and the musaica eventually put on loads of new growth when spring rolled around. This one did nothing. It’s been frustrating because I knew it had good roots, but it would not give me any new growth and the original leaves were starting to die completely. I was on the verge of throwing it out, but took it out to the enclosed back porch before we left on a 4 day trip. Apparently, it wanted to be warmer? Not one, but two new shoots! I had literally picked it up to throw it away when I spotted them! The house is usually around 70F, but it would have been probably close to 90F on the back porch. So now I wonder, should I just leave it on the back porch where it will be ungodly hot and humid all summer (central Indiana—the corn sweat is real) or move it back inside until fall? #happyplants #calathea 2 2 Comments @TheMightyOddish · 4M Hard is right 2 2 Comments @BubblyRimu95 · 4M calathea new leaves already half dried - edemas #calatheacrew #calathea #edema 2 4 Comments @BeefyDevilsivy1 · 5M What do i do with my calathea? 0 7 Comments @JesssJungle · 5M My Rose Calathea and her new leaf. 🌿 #rosecalathea #calatheacrew #calathea #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #happyplants #newgrowth #plantlove 12 2 Comments @Boopeboope · 5M Hi all, I have a Pinstripe Calathea and I’ve recently moved it to a more humid area with less temperature fluctuations. It’s doing well, but this one leaf is kind of worrying me. I am checking for root rot later, but, there’s a leaf that isn’t mushy but soggy in the middle. It does have leaf burns but I have solved the problem to that already, so that’s not an issue any longer. It’s just the singular soggy area that has lost color and foundation. It’s not rotting from the base up, so I’m not completely worried that it’s root rot but I am still checking. It’s in good soil, and a draining pot and the other leaves are healthier than they were last week since I moved it to a better area. Any help would be absolutely awesome. Thanks! Also, any suggestions to better the leaf burn would be great as well. I believe I have it handled, but suggestions to help with stress and healing would be amazing as well! #Calathea 1 5 Comments See 20 more posts Learn More AboutRattle Shaker Care 🌟 Benefits 🍂 Black Spots on Leaves 🍂 Brown Spots on Leaves 🐞 Bugs 🌞 Direct Sunlight 💩 Fertilizing 🌸 Flower 💦 How Often to Water 💨 Humidity 🍃 Leaves Curling 🍃 Leaves Drooping 🍃 Leaves Dropping 🍃 Leaves Falling Over 🍂 Leaves Mushy 🌤️ Light Requirements 🤔 Problems 🧪 Propagating ✂️ Pruning 🪴 Repotting 🤒 Root Rot 🪴 Soil 🌡️ Temperature 🍂 Yellow Leaves
