Good evening everyone. Here’s a photo. I took some time ago of a very old Cypress tree that is hollowed out. Its reflection, in the river, looks like an man with a long white beard. Of all the hoyas that have bloomed for me recently.... this is one I'm actually proud of. as in "I'm counting this one as an achievement" proud. Since I've heard the serpens can sometimes be difficult to bloom, I couldn't believe my eyes, when I saw some of the myriad peduncles they seem to put out "just in case" regularly were actually developing more. This one is actually the first of several peduncles about to bloom, and I can't believe my fuzzy cutsey luck. Each singular blossom is about the size of a leaf, making the comparatively huge peduncles surrounded by the tiny "snake" heads absolutely magnificent. Like with her daughter, the Mathilde, I'm not a fan of its fragrance, but really, who cares: One of my hoya serpens is in bloom! I will try to capture the whole plant when more peduncles are open, because the size difference between peduncles and leaves is so remarkable, but for now I was scared to move the plant until the blooms are fully open. #hoya #hoyahangout #plantsmakepeoplehappy #happyplants #pedunclewatch

I stopped in Ralph’s/Kroger today to look at plants because I was in that plaza at my bank. I wasn’t really going to buy anything. I have so many new plants plus I wanted to look for flowering plants and all they had were Kalanchoe and baby roses which I already have. Then as I was leaving empty handed, I saw this plant and I had to get it. I didn’t even know what it was but I love the orange. Turns out, it’s an orange spider plant or a Mandarin. It was all quiet on the home front tonight cuz hubby is sick and dogs are in their beds! I bought a fairy or terrarium pack of 6 when I bought some other plants from Etsy. They got here a few days ago. They are so cute and so tiny!!. I finally potted them late this evening while it was quiet. Now I’m tired and I have work tomorrow. Everything looks pretty 👍🏻, let’s hope they all grow!! Hello everyone, I hope you and your plants are growing well. I spent several hours, this morning, gardening working with my plants pruning, watering, mowing. The heat index is up to 108 With an actual temperature of 96°. That’s enough to drive me back into the house for a while. For sometime, I’ve been keeping my, smaller, cactus on my walkway. This was to save them from dying in a sudden rain storm if I’m not home to bring them in. I’ve lost several cactus too much water. I’ve decided to reinstate one of my old greenhouse tents. Good Evening, I love coming home to things like this- so I thought I’d share. Major progress on the Mint monstera. I’m 2 treatments into the Captain Jacks copper fungicide treatment and it seems to be working great. I was very unimpressed with the state of the this plant , but now I am happy. My Green Congo Nuclear has its new home. Super stoked! I love the variagation on this plant and it has a yellow sport leaf with white variagation on it! I don't think you can see it well from the pic but the white splotches are there. And a half moon leaf beside it. Omg 🙈 my family got home at 3 a.m. this morning, and my niece was calling me at 9 a.m. to come get her so she could come steal my plants. 😂✨ She’s too cute! 🥰 Anyway, had to share my buddies I’ve been working on the last couple of days.
