#TheWateringHole Hello All, and Good Afternoon, I have been feeling rather lackadaisical these past few weeks. It seems that my “Get Up And Go”, got up and left? I keep telling myself that I should be doing this, that, and the other but I cannot seem to get anyof it done! Oh well, tomorrow is another day! I did manage to get the plants watered, those that needed watering. So today there are 20 more asking for attention/water. And I did find a new bloom on the Rebutia Albipilosa, did you know that cacti need much more water when they are blooming, or to get them to flower. But the line between a bit more water and overwatering is very fine! And the correct balance is crucial. On my walk yesterday I saw these blooming Frangipani, it had just stopped raining and the colors looked so intense I had to take pictures. Of course I couldn’t overlook the BoP. And I don’t know who that little yellow flower belongs to, but it looked so perfect with the water droplets I just had to post it. Please keep in mind that these aren’t mine and they live outside by the parking lot. Hey everyone! I know this is a long shot, but there's a nursery called San Marcos Growers in Santa Barbara, CA that recently shut down their operations. They're still selling off remaining inventory, including a Tradescantia sillamontana variety called "Huasteca Canyon" they originally collected in the wild in Mexico. And no one else on the planet seems to have it! They're no longer shipping plants, so they can only be picked up in person. So if anyone lives in that area who would be willing to help me out with this, please let me know! I'd of course send you all necessary funds and shipping costs, and also reimburse you for your time. Hello again, everyone. ✌️ I hope all is well. This is my 40+ year-old hibiscus and its long awaited first flower of this year. This is the one that I photographed for my oasis. The unusual frost we had here, earlier in the year, had killed it all the way down to the ground. I was very concerned about it being dead. I managed to save it and am very happy to see it quickly growing back. This is, by far,my oldest plant. I was in my 20s when I planted it. ♥️ This plant has seen me grow old. 👨‍🌾Wow, and now it has many buds on it. He’s about 2 years old so no flowers yet but Tom’s sprouting this huge leaf in the middle and it’s sort of hard inside so I’m not sure if it’s a few leaves rolled up or the beginning of a flower stalk inside the leaf,🤷‍♀️! It’s so exciting!! I hope it’s a flower stalk because I feel like I’ve been waiting forever. The 1st photo is a picture of Tom he when I got him. Other photos are from tonight. 🤞 I’m going to see a flower shoot out in a few weeks!!!
