A day late posting, but I had to share my #freshleaffriday haul from #plantproper ! It arrived last night and I unpacked everyone, but wanted to get the best photos possible for you all. I am not entirely sure what happened. I was doing a great job not buying plants, then I kept hearing about how Plant Proper would go on Plant Story and have great deals so I finally joined. He latest leaf has finally finished unfurling and is absolute perfection 🥹 this is the first leaf she made completely in my home, as the one before started to arrive a day or two after she did (my plant card photos is when that one unfurled). Happy #freshleaffriday #greggang from all my #hoya blooms! In no particular order, since I'm not sure how the photos will play out: Hoya #retusa cutting I got a while back tried to bloom last year but it didn't quite work out, so here it is opening just one flower at a time (I managed to catch two in the photo). It's just so cute 🥹 Hoya #lobbii is my OG. My first hoya from one of my first plant friends a decade ago. She has always bloomed and the only reason she doesn't as much now is because I've given away so many cuttings she has to work to make more peduncles. Her blooms always make me feel like I am a good plant parent. [the orange and maroon] Another hoya that started as a cutting is my #wayetii and it put out its first peduncles this spring. I love how over the top long they are compared to others. The flowers are just SO PRECIOUS being round and velvety looking 🥹 Finally, my #sherperdaii a put out ten peduncles last year, maybe more, I lost count. She has been making the first floor of my house sound like someone lit a floral scented candle in every room. So far I think six of the peduncles have flowers, we will see if they all decide to this year. [White bunches with pink centers]. Have you ever seen a hummingbird moth?? They are a real treat....at first you see a hummingbird...then your like is that a lobster bug?! Then you Google it and plant flowers to attract them... 😍🥰. I noticed this little creature when I was doing a photo shoot for my new arrangement. Made from a gifted pot, props, sections of a bigger SOP and a cool vertebra I found in the woods. #newenglandgreggang #hummingbirdmoth #plantingonabudget #greggang

🧮 Plant Math <$1 plant = free plant! I couldn't resist these Big Box Store rescues for $0.99 each (the pots in the photo were free). From what I can tell they were upset by their living conditions, not pests. Thank you @JCPlantProper for sending me some snippets from your personal collection. I didn't think that when you found my top #wishlistplant for such a steal you'd prop some for me and send me lots of other babés in the process! Also important to note, these 2" terracotta are one of my favorite plant purchases ever 🥹. USPS timed it perfectly and they were dropped off right when both kiddos were sleeping. While I had no tiny hands to help, I did have lots of paws and feathers. The leaves on my #silversatinpothos are 🤤 I took a few cuttings from a friend and put all three in a pot. These were the first leaves and they are like 4x the size of the leaves that were on the cutting when I took it. They also took f o r e v e r to unfurl.
