Three new plant rescues from the Lowe’s “Dead and Dying” clearance cart!! I’m so excited. I already have a philodendron billietiae and a scindapsus silver splash but these two new additions are gorgeous. I have three spider plants and one of there babies fell off! Now I just have to find it a new pot when the roots grow! So excited for a new one!

I found some moving dots in the new growth on my Swiss Mint Monstera. I took care of them immediately and moved the plant to its own area. I saw another moving in the soil but lost it. Anyway, hope everyone’s Monday is moving along swingingly, and it looks as if the rain 🌧️and the thunderstorms have moved on. I am not sure how often I stated categorically that I would stop getting more plants. So far I have not been successful! Although space is at a premium. I have this terrible habit of sleep-shopping. When I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t go back to sleep. I go on line and somehow find cacti that in my semi awake state I think need. And somehow I ended up with six, yes (6) new cacti in the last week. Today a super interesting specimen arrived. The Leuchtenbergia Principis, then there’s the Echinocereus Rigidissimus, then the more common Notocactus Ritterianus, the Euphorbia Obesa, and lastly there’s the Monadenium Ritchiei. And those are the latest additions to the oasis. I am hoping for a while. I still have to repot the Desert rose to a bigger pot, the roots are emerging from the drainage hole! But that‘ll have to wait until tomorrow. On that note I’m off to see if I can find something to eat. Eating is so overrated, I hate cooking but I can handle a quick salad! You all have a wonderful evening and stay safe!

Hello Everybody. I’m new here. I’m also new to cacti. Can anyone help me by explaining what’s going on in the middle of my mountain ball (Pediocactus simpsonii) cactus? I can’t figure out what this white part in the middle is about. Is it new growth? Is it drying out? A quick internet search isn’t really helping much. I thought I might try my luck here. And please ignore the temporary housing in the Solo cup. I’ve got a wonderful cactus pot coming from Etsy anyday now. Thank you in advance!

Hello Everyone, here’s a photo of a pond Cypress tree in the green swamp west track at Withlacoochee River Park Unfortunately, this tree has collapsed on itself and died. This is probably one of the last photos taken of it. I’ve have not been over there in a long time. Does my echeveria look leggy? My echeveria has kinda always been like this but my other one is bunched up a lot nicer and they get good light. Am I doing something wrong?
