How to fertilize Twin Spined Cactus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil itâs likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Twin Spined Cactus after it doubles in size or once a yearâwhichever comes first.

Catus fertilizers Does anyone have a good formula of common household things that can be used to make a fertilizer for a small cactus? I have never fertilized mine and I have had it for over 3 years. I googled ideas and it came up with banana peel powder and eggshells but I am not quite sure what do do with either of those and they seem like very complicated to get. Has anyone used cactus fertilizer like this before?? Any tips would be so appreciated. My cactus is shown below

This was my husbandâs plant and I was to be âhands offâ. Well, he didnât do much for the thing and it got REALLY sad. It trooped on for A LOOOONG time, and sent out a few pups in an effort to save itself. I took over, potted these pups, and am committed to doing right by this plant. I can tell you, their momma persevered for years on zero love and support. This species is a true survivor.
