About Syngonium 'White Butterfly'
Syngonium podophyllum is a popular, easy-to-care-for houseplant with beautiful arrowhead shaped leaves. You’ll often see these plants grown in their juvenile stage, but given something to climb on and abundant sunlight you may see them mature into their adult stage! The leaf shape changes as they mature and may even appear to split into three individual leaves. In the wild they can climb up to 65 feet tall. Be sure to handle them with care, as their sap contains oxalic acid which can be very irritating to the skin and eyes. 👀

How to fertilize Syngonium 'White Butterfly'
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Syngonium 'White Butterfly' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

She did not take well to being shipped in the midwestern cold (my fault) #Syngonium #WhiteButterfly Her leaves withered and fell, and she was rooting out of her nursery pot. I repotted and trimmed the dead leaves, besides that mold the roots look fine (i think?) Basically, the roots are healthy but she’s bald now. Is there any chance she’ll grow?

#Syngonium #WhiteButterflySyngonium Hi, first post :) I’m a Silly Goose who bought a white butterfly in the winter so she’s a bit droopy upon arrival. like, completely wilted almost. none of them will stand on their own, and many have multiple links throughout the stalk. i guess i just want some reassurance that just getting her in a warm bright place will help? i know it takes time, but how much time should i give these leaves to stand back up? or will they even do so?

First propagation!! This was an accidental break. I was trying to wind Achilles’s vine around to make the pot look fuller… and it snapped. So I started my first propagation and named him Hector, playing off the Achilles theme. This was after almost 2 weeks! I saw real progress after I stopped changing out the water every 3 days, because I read that I was basically pouring the rooting hormone down the drain and forcing Hector to start over again. Now I just top it off, and one time I replaced half with fresh filtered water. I’m so excited!!!!! #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantParent #GregGivesBackGiveaway #FirstProp #PropagationStation #Propagation

Accidental sunburn! I accidentally left my white butterfly arrowhead in full sunlight for several hours!! Is there anything I can do save those scorched leaves, or should I just trim them and cry? I live in the DFW area so it gets hot, 93 degrees today! #ArrowheadPlant #sunburned #PlantProblems #NewPlantMom #scorchedleaves #PlantTherapy #helpneeded

What’s in Achilles’s roots? I’m repotting my white butterfly arrowhead plant for the first time. I’ve had him for about a month. I’m a new plant parent so I have no idea what this is on his roots. It’s white and fuzzy but doesn’t smell bad. Is it mold? Root rot? #ArrowheadPlant #roots #whatisit #RepotSeason #repotting

Helppppp… what’s the little white thingys on Bentley? (Zoom in 😉) I googled Thrips, but I’m not sure. Whatever it is it’s not moving, it’s on most of the bigger leaves. Was going to repot it today and noticed. Thanks in advance 🫶🏽🪴 #help #Syngonium #ArrowheadPlant

I was texting #PlantFriend @ShinyBudew and showing her Midori’s growth! I had to show the #GregGang because she deserved to be shown off! Midori is a #WhiteButterflySyngonium 🤍🌿💚 I got her July 12, 2022. I’ve repotted twice and she has been non-stop pushing out #NewGrowth like nobody’s business 🪴✨⚡️ 📸 The first 3 pictures were taken today, January 2nd. The last two were taken July 20, 2022. About a week after I got her 😊 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #Syngonium #SyngoniumSquad #PlantCorner #BeforeAndAfter #GregGang #CentralTexasGang #kscapedream

This plant bounced back from shipping really quickly. I have it under a grow light, in its original pot, 7-8 feet away from a north facing window with a porch and sheer curtain on it and it is doing great. Leaves are still unfurling and getting taller. The bottom leaves are yellowing, but that is expected. This plant hasn’t started climbing it’s stale yet, but I know by next year, it will be a monster! Exactly what’s needed in an indoor jungle!
