Greg Community Support Group #sundaysupportgroup #support...
Hi Fellow Greg Community Members
I wanted to sound people out as to whether there is sufficient interest to set up a Support Group. It would be a Peer support group and doesnβt claim to be a professional therapy support group.
It doesnβt seek to be a substitute for a professional therapist which I would always recommend (or a crisis line )
Instead, it would just be a group of Greg community members who come together to share whatβs going on for them in a safe space.
I have in mind a DM chat or even a Zoom video meeting/Facetime where we can share and support each other.
I was thinking Sunday might be best and some of my Amigos here at Greg like that it could be on a Sunday. The chat could be 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the number willing to join.
Open to any suggestions including suggestions for a good name with the support group #supportgroup or #supportgroupsunday or #sundaysupportgroup ?)
I am prepared to βchairβ the initial meeting and just provide some guidance to ensure a safe space for all members o be able to support each other.
So share your thoughts below. This will be a natural extension to #plantboosttuesday which will be coming up with inspirational quotes affirmations, etc. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #GregGang #GreggersSupportingGreggers #Greggers #theamigos #seymour #plantmememonday #plantboosttuesday #mentalhealthmatters #communityspotlight #plantmafia #petsandplants #griefrecovery #depressionsucks #adhdplantlovers #anxietysociety #mentalhealthmonday #therapist

Thanks so much π π

This is a great idea #theamigos
Here are some wonderful, inspirational plant/nature quotes. I was going to list my favorite ones, but that quickly became pointless because there are many great ones. I hope it helps anyone who is feeling down today to gain their smile back and laugh with the earth π.

Hey Seymour, there are so many options out there for group meets... So I did a search, seems good ideas/hints copied and pasted below:
Virtual collaboration: Suggest effective online meeting tools and strategies for remote group discussions.
To have a meeting with a group of people in the Internet, consider the following steps:
Use a meeting scheduling tool: Utilize a meeting scheduling tool that has a meeting poll feature. This allows you to set up a number of meeting times as options and ask people for the best time to meet as a group. Everyone can see the results of the poll, and you can finalize the time based on the maximum number of attendees.
Choose a video conferencing platform: Select a reliable video conferencing platform that suits your groupβs needs. Popular options include Zoom, Google Meet, or Skype. Ensure that all participants have the necessary software or app installed and are familiar with its features.
Schedule a recurring meeting: Consider scheduling recurring meetings to maintain consistency and make it easier for participants to adjust their schedules accordingly.
Communicate effectively: Before the meeting, send out a clear agenda and any necessary materials to all participants. During the meeting, encourage active participation and use features like chat or polls to facilitate engagement.
Join online communities or forums: Look for online communities or forums related to your groupβs interests. This can help you connect with potential participants and schedule meetings more easily.
Use social media: Leverage social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn to promote your meeting and invite potential participants.
Meetup.com: Consider using Meetup.com, a platform that allows you to find and join groups of people with shared interests. This can be a great way to connect with others and schedule meetings.
Additional Tips
Be flexible: Be open to adjusting your schedule to accommodate different time zones or conflicting schedules.
Test your equipment: Ensure that your computer, internet connection, and audio/video equipment are functioning properly before the meeting.
Encourage participation: Foster an inclusive environment by encouraging all participants to share their thoughts and ideas.
Follow up: After the meeting, send a summary of the discussion and any action items to ensure everyone is on the same page.
By following these steps and tips, you can successfully have a meeting with a group of people in the Internet.
