What is happening to my basil :(

Is it cause of the weather swings? I hope it's not that fungi wilt that isn't curable #planttherapy #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #newplantmom #plantcorner

It could be weather has to gone very cold suddenly outside?

The other one is water it could be that its needs less than before as its getting to winter especially if you keep watering like the summer. Or just stop watering too.

Theres quite alot of tips here on the website.

@TheLonelyDaff 12 degrees Celsius is too cold for a basil? It's also really warm sometimes like now
@Minthe you would start to see issues at 12C like it slowing down. With big swings it could confuse it as well.

You could bring it inside and see how it likes that, or wrap. It in some bubble wrap to be like a mini greenhouse. As it will not survive frost.
But it does look a bit dry to me, how wet is the soil and how often are you watering them?
@TheLonelyDaff because of the cold every 5 days. The soil is moist when we don't have those swings
It might do better under a grow light. Basil can definitely be tricky. Mine was looking ill, so I gave it a big chopping and it came back. However, I didn’t get to my other one quickly enough and it died.
@Minthe oh also it does look like quite a few basil plants in the pot am i right?

I found if i had more than like 4 spread out they all fought for water and nutrients and died off.
@teacher12 we don't have grow lights in my town, and ion have adult money yet :')
@TheLonelyDaff nah it's one
@Minthe Basil is a perennial plant and dies off with seasonal changes. As mentioned above you could chop it back and hope for the best .
