Yes, they need at least 6 hours of direct sun a day. If you have it indoors and are in the northern hemisphere, a west or south-facing window is best (west gets afternoon sun, which is stronger than AM sun, and south gets more total hours of direct sun). If you don't have a window where it can get this much direct sunlight, a grow light might be necessary for healthy growth and ideal blooming.

Hello! Welcome to the #GregGang  #GregFam. I have mine so it get the morning sun and then a grow light the rest of the day. The harsh afternoon sun will burn the leaves andvstunt it's growth. Since I started using a grow light it has really taken off!! 🌵🏜🪴🌿🌻
