Growing a potato from a seed

Ok, so, I’ve planted some in the past (VERY LONG AGO 😅) but it fairly simple! Although I wouldn’t exact recommend growing them quite so late into the year, I reaction now is a still a good time to start. Till the soil, add in seeds at least 5cm apart in rows and water fairly generously. When sprouts start appearing… so will bugs and slugs so be careful! When the sprouts have reached around like 50 cm ish tall was when I harvested and I got these adorable potatoes the size of my palm! I’m not sure what potato variant you’re using though, but best of luck to you!! :D
I hope ye going well I’ve grown potatoes fr ages , it’s kinda easy , just when they are growing an the leaves an stalks get taller, all you gotta do is cover up the bottom, in a small contained area (NOT POTS) I just keep buying a bag of compost from a local garden centre and wak it on when they get taller 👍✊🤠hope this helps n good luck to ya 🤞
@SoulRider77 how deep would you plant them like 3 centimeters or 3 inches? What do you think? I’ve never grown potatoes so I need help
@Faith_official erm you said seed so I’d start at about three inches deep 😬maybe two but in slightly soft ground, then when you get sprouts of leaves just keep em watered,until they get bit bigger then just keep adding ground around em , I hope your seeds go well but easiest way t grow a potato is to irrigate an other one 👍😆, for these I only cut in half three that “ grew eyes “ an a put em two inches into soft ground, a week later there were the little sprouts of leaves , then I put more compost around, an then I put a support around an jus keep filling as an when , keep watered keep sunshine ☀️
