ID help for humidity box mystery plants!
Good evening my lovely plant people! I have an ID conundrum and I need the community's help. My humidity/prop box has several random plants I never got around to ID'ing. Normally such mysteries would drive me nuts, but it's become such a thriving mini-ecosystem I haven't cared as much about having correct labels π€
All guesses, educated or not, are welcomed and appreciated! TIA! π₯°ππΌ
1. First is this freak of nature and its crazy beast-mode leaf that emerged about a month ago. The leaf is so stunning I'm not even mad that it's blocking light to several other plants lol. Possibly a philo?
2. Perhaps some kind of variegated pothos?
3. A Hoya. That's all I got π Pics 3 & 4 show the same plant from above and from the side.
4. This one is in the same pot as the first plant with the massive leaf, but it doesn't look like the same plant. Maybe a juvenile?
Thanks Greg fam! β₯οΈ

That first one might be a philo gloriosum π€© I wannnnt one π @idplantthat does this look like your gloriosum as a baby? That smaller baby leaf is likely the same plant. Some of these varieties start like that and get their more predominant veining and heart shaped leaves with age.
I agree with @MilkNewt and @nellz4estfairyz on the global green pothos π for two. Three looks like your standard Hoya carnosa to me, with a bit of splash/freckles.
Also thank you, because I just woke up from a serving dream nightmare and this was exactly the kind of thing my brain needed before I fall back asleep πππ΅βπ«

@stephonicle the first one is a Philo Gloriosum. I have one so Iβm sure. 2 is a Global Green Pothos, 3/4 is the Hoya and 5 looks more like a Philo Micans to me. I have a silver sword and their leaves are more elongated like a spear top rather than heart shaped. All are very beautiful babies!!π
@Shells_Garden youβre absolutely right! I believe the last one is a young Gloriosum

Thanks so much everyone! β₯οΈ

@DreamMachine girl, I have the SAME server dreams! 20 years working in the restaurant industry, I've been out of it for almost a decade but still occasionally have dreams (nightmares really) where I have a huge section and I'm deep in the weeds and I can't catch up π΅βπ«
@Idplantthat all good! Thanks for confirming! Hadn't even occurred to me that it might be a Gloriosum, not sure why. Honestly, my humidity box requires such little upkeep that the plants inside have been "out of sight, out of mind" π I pump in a bunch of mist maybe once every two weeks, but I've only had to water the plants a few times in A YEAR π³ My life would be so much easier if I lived in a giant humidity box lol π€
@stephonicle π you know π
That is π― what was going on in mine π And the new host kept seating more and more tables and I remember saying, βcan you hold off a sec? I havenβt even gotten everyone waters yet!β Iβve been a server for 20 years too but still in it π€ͺ (because I have found my magical rainbow unicorn dream restaurant) and if Iβd stayed asleep it would have progressed to the serving food part, where we have an entire new menu and I donβt know any of the ingredients, nor the allergens π€£

@DreamMachine I donβt mean to be mean, but what is a serving dream nightmare?
@stephonicle ha ha ha isnβt that the truth! One giant humidity box would be the to-go, living every day with the plantsβ¦ sounds amazing! I canβt tell you how many times Iβve been right alongside you goingβ¦ when did I get this?? Wait am I sure I got thisβ¦ I am sure itβs what I think?? π€¦ββοΈ I always think Iβll rememberβ¦ then I forget to remember π€¦ββοΈπ but I think thatβs half the fun; π€©
@AC73LoveCats thatβs not mean at all! Iβm a server in a restaurant. So usually my mundane nightmares are when everythingβs going wrong. Like what Steph @stephonicle and I were talking about a few comments up: People are being sat and Iβm so behind (βin the weedsββ server lingo) I canβt get to them, no one has water, more people are sat, I forget all the sauce, more people are sat, and I donβt recognize any of the food. π€ͺ
I remember one in particular where I had a pastry case and all we had was pizza to serve (IRL I donβt serve either) and I was screaming, βbut what about the gluten allergies?????!!!!β
Iβm pretty cool as a cucumber when Iβm at work, no matter how busy, so naturally the anxiety comes out in dreamland. π«ͺ

@stephonicle @Idplantthat if you two are looking for a giant humidity box to live in, I cordially invite you to Portland. ππ I have one guest room to share, and someone will have to take the couch in there, but hooo boy do I have some humidity for you! π¨π¦
@DreamMachine π Iβm there! Tell the kitties weβre going to be cuddling! π If only! I do love Oregon; itβs a beautiful place to be. ππ©΅
@AC73LoveCats haha, definitely not mean! If you've never worked in the restaurant industry, there's no reason you'd know about server dreams π @DreamMachine explained it perfectly. Mine usually involves a full restaurant and a hostess who won't stop seating tables in my section, and I feel like I'm stuck in quicksand. I can't complete even the simplest of tasks, nothing works like it's supposed to, and no one's around to help me. You know the assembly line scene in I Love Lucy? It's a little bit like that π
@stephonicle @AC73LoveCats ugh YES, thatβs exactly it; like youβre stuck in quicksand ππ
@Idplantthat π«‘ Youβd probably, scratch that, ABSOLUTELY get Lady Luna Asparagus jumping onto your lap within a minute of sitting down. Itβs like she hears you sit and comes runningβ¦ lap radar. π Sometimes Iβm too involved in what Iβm doing/reading to notice, and then I look down and there she is! π»
2nd runner up for Champion Lap Cuddler is her mom, Moth. Moth would do *anything* for you to keep giving her attention and all the cuddling. π₯Ή She even turns down food/treats for pets.
PLUS, itβs really good for your skin here. Most of the time it doesnβt rain hard, just misty, like youβre walking through a Sprite π₯€ if you can imagine what I mean by that. π
