Hello all! 🌿☀️
Because I can’t have any plants inside, I decided to get a greenhouse set up for the back patio 🥳 (I’m Qld Australia, zone 11A so it won’t get too cold for them at night!)
I am wondering what plants will be happy and thrive in here, and will I need anything to go inside? Any type of fans, humidifiers, grow lights etc?
im thinking of putting my succulents around the outside of the greenhouse, and the flowers in hanging pots so the bees can get to them!
But im wondering what would be best to put inside the greenhouse, or would they all be good to go in together? Here is my list of plants (non succulent or flowers) that I have so far
-Cathelea - ‘Jungle Rose’
-Caladium - ‘Heart of Jesus’
-Begonia Rex - ‘Bewitched Red’
-Colocasia ‘Lime Aide’
-Polka dot plant
-Persian shield
-Waffle plant
- ‘Monstera Minima’
-Monstera adansonii - ‘Swiss cheese’

@HayleyQ Hey Hayley, having lived on the Gold Coast, I don't think humidity will be an issue except with respect to considering some air flow to avoid mould in the greenhouse. Certainly, growlights might supplement the available light. It should have a set up so you can add growlights. Where did you get that model from ?
@Seymour Thank you! I thought it should be enough without the humidifier, I’ll keep an eye out and see how they go! There is some holes where you can add extra pvc pipe to the top of it, I was thinking of adding another pipe and then adding the grow light to that! This model is from Bunnings (without the misters) thanks so much for your comment!
