Can someone please tell me how big of a pot this guy needs? He’s not very tall right now, but the little paper thing says 1-1.5m grow height. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #DesertRosePlant
2ft to light, indirect
2” pot with drainage
Last watered 6 months ago
The thing they don't tell you about indoor plants is they don't need a single pot, think of it like a hermit crab that will grow into and out of homes. Generally, you don't want a huge pot. It's hard to regulate water and a pain to work with (when the plant is small). When the roots start getting cramped (it's called root-bound if you wanted to read more later) it needs a bigger home. I'm not familiar with this species exactly, but succulents definitely want to be cozy in their pot. Keep it alive for a year and reassess, it's perfectly happy in that size pot for now :)
I concur!
Change the numbers though on the.size of Pot. Looks like 2 inch pot or less. Idk?
Only go 1 to 1.5 inches bigger than the rootball. If the pot is too big, it is easy to over water and cause root rot.
Its not the height of ur plant, its the size of ur root ball/system! Use a pot a few inches larger thab ur root system so ur plant is cozy and snug but still allows some growth . Although the leaves also absorb sin and indeed involved in photosynthesis, remember ur root system is the heart (ill stop myself at including soul) of ur plant. Maybe i should stick w brains! Lol anywag keep ur roots happy & healthy & thats 80-90% of ur work. Enjoy the results!!!
