Yassssss we can compare notes on our emo begonias with @DreamMachine !!! That Black Babylon Hoya is cool too!! 😍 Lookit this little thing I found.. $5 at TJs! I had never really thought about it before, but was surprised to learn that “mini orchids” aren’t just immature big ones. 😂 So this is my first toe dip into orchids. 🤞
@Idplantthat Looking at all of your plants always lifts my spirits 😉💘 I still can't tell if it's a silver sword yet either. 🤷♀️The leaf shape and color still looks a little off. Mine might change shape as it gets bigger.

@princesspitstop I think yours is a silver sword and I actually think mine is horsehead or the violin 🎻 philodendron. It’s a pretty common one. ☺️ but your shading and leaf style I think is the sword 🗡️. I think you are right 🥰✨

My black boat just arrived! So I’m so excited; another black plant! Love the dark ones. That particular one is called a Black Boat Ardisia. ☺️

@Idplantthat @DreamMachine @princesspitstop haha I think he’s given up. As long as I keep them maintained, then he’s happy. I actually just caught him posting a pic of Max lazing amidst the monsteras the other day (I don’t have social media but my fam texted me about it). Now that the plants have started playing musical pots, it’s harder for him to keep track of who’s new and who has been around, too. 😂😂. I’m totally down for a goth plant club!!! 🖤 Also, I’ve been peeking at my new orchid multiple times a day now. lol. I know we wanna wait to water until the roots turn silvery but I’ve had some roots up top go silvery and now shriveled while the roots below are still quite green. It’s been suuuper humid here lately, so I’m surprised the top ones shriveled so quickly. We’re looking at 65% humidity inside right now. I read to hold off on repotting until the blooms are done. Are we thinking this is an emergency worth sacrificing the blooms in order to repot in a proper substrate? What say you guys? The plug is obviously super dense, but I feel like I’m gonna get about a tablespoon of orchid bark in such a tiny pot.
