@UltraKoreanfir it’s pretty cool looking actually. I got it because the base has a fat caudex and it looks like it’s laying down sideways in the dirt. Let me find a pic

@SirLiquorice that is a stunning plant! Those flowers are an awesome color. Where did you get it and what kind of special care does it need. I'm going to paint my room a pale green, something like that would definitely be a show piece with some of my antique Japanese silk paintings.
@YokeBibi just look for any nursery or grocery store that sells desert roses. They are very common but not all have this flower color. You’ll need to look for the purple flower one specifically. Some are pink or red or white or all kinds of different colors of flowers. I didn’t know mine would have this purple flower when I bought it. If the nursery knew they would’ve marked up the price probably but they didn’t know either. But I have seen them at H‑E‑B grocery stores for pretty cheap with this same flower. They are drought tolerant plants and very low maintenance. Care it about the same as most of my cacti.
@YokeBibi I water mine about every 26 days. It’s inside under grow lights in the closet. If it was outside in the 105 degree weather I would need to water more often. But it seems to almost grow better inside here. At least during the hottest time of the year. They still do well in desert heat but get stressed more. Inside it stays looking more perfect and the leaves don’t get sun stressed
@SirLiquorice thanks for the info. We don't have H-E-B here in Montana, but I will look at Albertsons or Smiths next time I'm there. Or Home Depot, my brother and I practically live there 😄.
@YokeBibi most nurseries that stock cacti and succulents and some grocery stores and even some gas stations that sell plants. may have desert roses in your area. You can also ask this seller https://planetdesert.com/pages/search-results-page?q=desert+rose if they ever have the purple flower one
@YokeBibi but yeah H‑E‑B is only mainly in the south I think. They had some purple desert roses for $9.99 here and it’s normally about $26.99 or $29.99 at most nurseries here if not more depending on the size. HEB must be pissing the nurseries off with these low prices
@GeorgiesEden no matter what color they always have awesome flowers. The purple doesn’t seem to be as common as some others but it’s still possible it could be the purple
