I’ve been out all day working in the yard planting and weeding, watering, plus you all the rest. Anyway, thought I’d share some banana pics and others. Hmm, my garage is super messy, don’t look closely 🫣, and I am cleaning the walls and the whole greenhouse this upcoming month, and I hate all the green build-up, but it’s only temporary. 🤣🫶🏻🌸🩵🐝 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #TheThread #TheWateringHole #TipsandTricks #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #NewPlantMom #OrchidLovers #PetsAndPlants #PlantCorner #BeforeAndAfter #PlantShelfie #PestControl #RarePlants #PlantID
@Idplantthat Love it!! Have "fun" cleaning your walls!🥴😜😊
@Idplantthat banana, ZZ & begonia look beautiful! I just put my begonia outside because it was failing indoors ☹️. I think it’s gonna be happier 👍
@luvmygreenhouse ha ha ha I know I walked into today and went, “ I really need to pressure wash the heck out of this place.” Then I am thinking of sealing it more, but I gotta read more, and then my nights have to be warm enough for plants to be outside for a week. So it’s a waiting game 🤦♀️ can’t come soon enough
@MariansOasis I had a couple in my house being fussy as well. That little happy dude is always chilling in the garage. I gotta do a plant burg, maybe give larger bananas and plants. Just gotta make a little room 🙃🤣 do you have pics of your begonia
@Idplantthat good morning ☀️ I actually put all my begonias outside. After a few years indoors I think they needed to get a shot in the arm of real humidity and daylight. I’ll grab some pics when I get my 🍑 out of bed. 🛌 it feels so nice to just lounge here this morning. 🫠
@Idplantthat I don’t have any banana plants/trees . . . Yet.
But I did get my industrial sized bag of perlite/silica that you recommended. Solves my perlite shortage! Holy moly. I mixed it in with some cactus repots and in my aroids mix, so we will see what happens.
I also started a small experiment with the perlite and spider plant cuttings. (Of course I didn’t get before pics). So far the roots look great. I’m hoping to get roots that are hardy enough for transplanting. Water to soil is a bit precarious as a straight transfer right now. but I’m excited to see how perlite/water to soil goes.
I’ll keep you posted!

@IWantThatPlant I am so excited! I’m guessing you got the 50-pound bag? I know it’s massive! Ha ha 🤣 I had no clue it was going to be that large 🤦♀️ I am starting my mom’s veggie garden in it right now and I actually am getting great results. I also put it down with a small amount of Lightning Warrior from FoxFarm and topped my strawberries to avoid crown rot! Holy moly, my strawberries are so thick I can’t snap the stems and the leaves don’t tear easily. It’s been amazing! You definitely need to keep posted. I’d love to see all stages, so don’t feel like you can’t share. I enjoy the science experiments! 🧪 🫶🏻🌸🐝🩵 I’m going to put your baby spider plant will really take off!
@Shells_Garden oh my goodness, I’d definitely say you have some great, beautiful, healthy bananas! What kind are they?
@Idplantthat both are dwarf cavendish. I had a beautiful Musa Bajoo for a while but she got root rot and died on me.
