Yay! I’m so excited to get my Boswellia sacra outside and into the sun. She’s loving it. If you don’t recognize the plant name by the genius, it’s commonly known as Frankincense, the sacred frankincense. Frankincense is an amazing plant for its resin, otherwise known as “tears,” is considered the finest in the world; but for anyone who prefers to use homeopathic remedies, it’s highly recommended. It’s an amazing plant for multi-use purposes. 😉🫶🏻 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #PlantTherapy #TheWateringHole #TheThread #theamigos #GrowLights #PetsAndPlants #PlantCorner #BeforeAndAfter #RarePlants #PlantID #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #PLANTMAFIA

What an unusual, awesome plant. 😀

For some reason, I'm thinking that the resin is also used as a kind of incense?
@CutePolypremum it absolutely can, but usually this particular one, you’d want to use it more for inflammation, arthritis, and other medical benefits, as well as dental care weirdly enough. 🙃 My sister has Lyme disease and this guy helps with that.
@Idplantthat

Reading your post reminds me that I know so little about medicinal plants!
It's good to know the Boswellia Sacra is helpful for Lyme disease and that he's giving your sister some relief.

I'm curious about the healing properties of this plant for arthritis and dental health.
Do you make a tea, or tincture, or???
Is it a climbing vine, similar to a wisteria?
@HotIcecaps19 not really a climbing vine; it’s more like a bonsai tree they like to be small, compact, and with multiple leaves. Mine are still very young, and I am just barely leaving them out in warmer nights. They love heat and humidity; I honestly might just put them back in the greenhouse house and let them go crazy with the bananas 🤣
@CutePolypremum Are you familiar with how to get maple syrup from a tree? It’s called tapping; it’s basically draining the inner fluid of the tree like the sap. You can melt the sap and make it with shea butter or really anything you want to use as arthritis creams, and the same way for the teeth, but you can also chew the plant, which helps with cleaning the tree and the gums.
