Yay it’s Friday 🥳!! Although retired now I still like weekends because then all my ‘not retired’ friends aren’t working! 😆 🎉
Hoya Heaven ☁️ 😇 in July at my Oasis🏡 🌸🌿🍃🌼. Pubicalyx is in full drippy juicy bloom. Krimson Queen leaf is blushing pink 🩷 + peduncle popping out and 2 tiny pink bébe leaves 🍃💕 Last two are post sulfur treatment, only the first go round & already showing happy signs of new growth 🪧 🍃- Hoya Chelsea and Burtoniae 🌱.
Today is orchid watering 💦 day 😊. Always fun to get in and look 👀 close up! Hopefully some signs of new roots or spikes 🙃🫢🤫🫣

@HolyLacealoe yes, it is sticky too. Not terribly so, but I do put a towel or something underneath my juicy Hoyas when they’re in bloom to absorb the drips 💧. These 3 for sure - Pubicalyx, tricolor wayetii, and multiflora Shooting Star. Drip machines!!!!! 💧💧
Today. Blacked out and order a lot of plants. Need to hold a plantaholic meeting. It looks like I won’t get an intervention. Here are the pictures of my plant mail of the day. Today will be setting these beauties up and letting the others know I have enough love for all of them. Wishing everyone healthy happy and blessed weekend.

@FitBrowallia oh haha yes, juicy and sticky! So some, not all, Hoya flowers drip a lot of nectar. It’s mostly water and sugar. It attracts pollinators when living outside. But can make messes on tables, floors, other plants, themselves!! 🤪. I have to shower them 🚿 off when they drip on themselves. It’s not thick like honey 🍯. More like maple syrup consistency. I’ve not had ants 🐜 go after the nectar but I hear they can and will! I keep a towel underneath when the drippy ones are in bloom.
@FitBrowallia you can see the droplets that formed on this blossom. This one will just drip onto the plant. Then she’ll get a shower 🚿 🛁 🧽 when she’s all done blooming.
