How to fertilize Tillandsia tonalaensis
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Tillandsia tonalaensis after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

The app is telling me to fertilize this plant. With what? I currently take it out of the skeleton and soak in water from my dogs bowl about every 10 days for 30 minutes then let dry upside down before replacing. #AirPlant #fertilizingairplant #fertilizer

Help/confirm ID? Just got this beauty as a gift. Just like knowing the correct ID on these guys! I’ve gone with tillandsia abdita, but wondering if there’s something else it could be since with a google search there’s similar looking ones. Maybe ‘Capitata’? What do you think? 🌱❤️ #AirPlant #Tillandsia #help #identify #GregGang #PlantsMakePeopleHappy (I just gave it a drink so it’s wet lol)

I've had marginal success in the past with air plants, but going to try again. Typically I can grow anything.. I've read to put it in a porous pot with well draining soil and alternatively no soil...thanks for all tips #AirPlant

I have a little Medusa air plant 😉 I don't have her in soil. I've had it a week. It was glued , around the neck of the planter. I lost a few leaves. 😞 I've been soaking it for 30 mins. So is it necessary to plant it in soil?🤔 Help Please ☺️ #MedusaHeadAirPlant

Airplant separation? My airplant has a baby that has gotten bigger to the point eventually, (here soon) I may want to try to separate it… what would be the best way to go about that? It’s pretty snug (well attached) to the mother airplant currently, so I’m kinda assuming it’s not quite ready yet. As it gets bigger I would imagine it’ll be easier to detach, when it’s ready? Does anyone have any experience with this? And is there a better way to separate them? Like would I use my hands to wiggle it off? Or surgically remove it? 😂 #AirPlant #airplants #PlantAddict #help #Question #division #GregGang
