About Coppertone Stonecrop
Plants in the Sedum genus are super diverse, and are native to regions all over the world. Horticulturalists have bred them to create even more variietes that come in all manner of shapes and colors! Their succulent leaves help store water, and they are incredibly easy to propagate. Just gently pop off one of the leaves and with water and sunlight it will grow into a whole new plant. 🪴

How to fertilize Coppertone Stonecrop

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Coppertone Stonecrop after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I need help identifying the 20 succulent cuttings I got from Greg in the #SpringIntoSummer contest. I just added them all as separate plants. They are all planted in the same pot right now until they grow roots. Greg identified some but I’m not sure if they are right. And many it didn’t identify. So any help in identifying them would be greatly appreciated! Sorry for all the posts but I have to post each one of the 20 individually. Let me know what you think they are. #SucculentSquad

This gal was fine a couple days ago but now??? This little lady was just fine a couple days ago but when I checked on my plants this morning I found this and forgot to take pics until just now... What is going on here? Can I save her or is she done for?? For now she's in the quarantine ward with the scale babies in case this crap could spread... Hopefully it hasn't already... 😭 #notsohappyplants #succulentsquad #succulentlove #stonecrop #sedum #sos #help #whatthesuccwednesday #whatthesucc

Who wants to see an icky picture? I’ve caught evidence of flat mites on my sedum nussbaumerium! 💀🦟 Using a digital microscope that magnifies 50x-1000x from Amazon, I spotted some flat mite eggs (and some flat mites, which I wasn’t able to get good pictures of). 🥚🔬 The little red ovals are their eggs. On this plant, the eggs have exclusively been laid on nubby new growth. 🌱🪦 The yellow coating you see in the other photo is the sulfur treatment I applied with a paintbrush. 🖌️💨💦 The sulfur is Bonide sulfur fungicide mixed with a few drops of water and reportedly is quick, safe, effective, and even beneficial to plants. Some people report speedy new growth after applying the sulfur treatment 🪴🖤 #FlatMites #SedumNussbaumerium #SucculentLove #PestControl #Mites #MiteInfestation #Sulfur #Microscopic

Help 😩 I found this black spot and I’m confused on where it came from unless I didn’t notice it before. She’s still doing fine with it there though and I’ve even noticed some new growth. Is this something that could potentially become an issue? #Succulents #SucculentSquad

Coppertone Stonecrop looks sad I think this might be because of the type of pot it's in. It's small, short, not got much drainage, I almost think it's growth is stunted. Any opinions?

I’m a newbie at taking care of Sedum’s Any advice? My plant is in front of a window that gets tons of sunlight. Is it okay if I close the blinds sometimes or would my sedum need sunlight the entire daylight time? How long can a sedum get before maybe I should trim it? I bought what I think is a glass pot and now discovering I should have bought terracotta. Will my sedum survive for a few days until I can get a new pot that will suit it better? How many cups of water should I use when watering my plant? The app says 1/2 a cup but I wanted to hear from people who are actually taking care of the plant. I don’t have a drainage tray for my potted plant. I put a plate under it until I can buy something more sustainable. Is a plate okay for right now or should I fix it immediately? Thanks for anyone who gives advice or answers these questions. I super appreciate it!
