What’s wrong with this aralia? His leaves are droopy, some yellowing and some crispy. Is he receiving an incorrect portion size of water, or is it a different issue?

Misdiagnosis for black spots? Ever since I've had my #fabianaralia, it's had black spots on its leaves. It was diagnosed as black fungus, and I've spent about two months trying to treat it. I first treated it with neem oil and when that was ineffective, I switched to copper spray. I've regularly pruned affected leaves. However, the black spots are still there on new leaves 🥲 I was at a plant nursery today with Fabian Aralia that had these exact same black spots (incidentally this is the same place where my Aralia came from). I asked them about the black spots and he said it was normal. I don't really believe him because nothing online says that black spots are normal. What does Greg think? Is this actually black fungus, is this some other problem, or is this normal? #pestcontrol #pesthelp #planthelp

Hi All ! Recently adopted him from FB market.. should I repot and replace soil? New leaf on top was brown, and some little brown spots on some leaves. Treat for pests maybe? Fertilize? What’s a good potting mix/pot size? #BalfourAralia

What other plant parents say
I’ve had this aralia for almost a year now it’s still a baby plant. It grows slowly indoors but seeing the leaves get bigger is worth it.
Needs humid warm air. Mine lives in low light and near an A/C and it’s doing just fine.
It’s watered infrequently and thanks to Greg I can remember when to do so. It’s just super dramatic when it’s thirsty 😆
