Philodendron Fuzzy Petiole
About Philodendron Fuzzy Petiole
Philodendrons grow aerial roots that grip the bark of trees, allowing them to grow over 20 feet tall! Their leaves change shape as they climb and can grow larger than a dinner plate. Fossils show Philodendrons growing as far back as 30 million years ago when South America was still connected to Antarctica! ❄️

Hello Greggers, Happy Tuesday. So, I do believe this #NewPlantMom killed her fuzzy petiole. The last two leaves are very limp and yellowing. So, my question is can I start over with a geranium or would you recommend I just purchase a new one? Who is the expert to give me the best advice?
-
#freshleaffriday It's the 1st new leafs of any real size and I'm still not sure what to think about the coloring.

My #PhilodendronFuzzyPetiole is trying to hold on, but he’s lost three leaves since I adopted him and brought him home last September. This new #PlantMom needs some serious training. I think I’m going to have to just give in and secure a membership to #LongwoodGardens

#PlantID #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #Philodendron #AlocasiaAddicts calling all my plant experts for some help. My husband brought me home this beautiful plant today. He bought it just because he knows I don’t have one and he thought it was cool so he knew I’d love it. I do love it but the trouble is, I’m having problems identifying correctly. I have 3 different plants ids from 4 diffent sources. Greg indicates is a Chinese taro but my other taros leaves are more narrow so I don’t think it’s that. Another other apps identifies it as a fuzzy philodendron. The two others indicate it’s a Homalonema Rubescens. I tend to agree with the Philo identity just given the shape of the plant and it’s stalks are fuzzy. Can one of my experts confirm? There was no plant tag inside the plant other than green foliage so it’s a crap shoot for plant care right now🤷♀️🤔 TIA!!

Good morning, Greg family, Maybe it’s just me, but it looks like my Demi #ChineseTaro) is trying to come back alive. I gave her some water and some love; talked to her and placed a picture of my siblings and I right by her side so that she could know that she is surrounded by love. You can also see the velcro strap I wrapped around some of the leaves to lift them and hold them up. Please tell me what you think; I’m also accepting any other tips you can give me on care. Thank you💖🪴💚🥰 #NewPlantMom #ChineseTaro

Help🙏🏾🪴🙏🏾 I’ve seen some leaf shine spray in the home and garden section at Home Depot, but was wondering if there was anything more natural I could use to awaken a luster in my babies. Also, the #ChineseTaro in the lower left corner of my collage looks quite sad 😞 Any suggestions on how I could perk her up?

Good morning, Greg family. Can someone help this new mom out? I see [what looks like] roots; is this supposed to be under the dirt?

Here is the #ChineseTaro 💖🪴🥰

Confession: I have some plants that aren’t thriving in my care, so I am rehoming them. A friend’s mom told me this was the secret to her lush plant many years ago- if the plants don’t take to your care or your space- get different plants. 🤯 Just passing on this tidbit in case it helps anyone struggling with green thumb envy. I am giving myself a pass to stop sweating over these guys and just cultivate plants I can succeed with 🪴 #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantTherapy #protip

Should I liberate these leaves? I bought a rescue philodendron a year + back that’s never quite thrived, but never given up either. (I am not 100% on the plant ID either. Lately I noticed the leaves aren’t quite separating? Should I try to release them? Any tips on how? I was going to try a dish cloth with warm water? #Philodendron #WeirdPlants #PlantID
