To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Phalaenopsis 'Little Yellow Boy Taida Lawrence' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Do I repot now or wait? 🌸 I got this orchid recently and it was planted in this substrate that feels really tough—I have a bark mix I would like to repot it in, but it still has one bloom left—is it best to go ahead and repot now anyway due to the mix it’s in, or does it seem healthy enough that I should wait until the last bloom drops? ~ (I’m sorry if the pictures are sideways like they show for me, it keeps doing that for some reason!) #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PhalaenopsisOrchid #Phalaenopsis #OrchidLovers #PlantTherapy #PlantLove

What do I do? My orchid had root rot.. here is what’s left. It is still growing but there are no roots and the leaves are looking really pathetic.

Is this orchid in soil?? I just bought this orchid on clearance from Kroger and I’m wondering, is this planted in soil?? It doesn’t look like any mix I’ve ever seen an orchid planted in before and it feels really solid and like it’s kinda in chunks—I’m unsure if it’s soil or some kind of dark moss I’ve just not seen before! (I’m sorry if the photos are sideways as they’re shown for me, it keeps doing that for some reason!) #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #PhalaenopsisOrchid #Phalaenopsis #OrchidLovers

Please help my Orchid! I recently saved this Orchid from the trash at work. I repotted it from its original small plastic container into a larger well draining pot with better gro special orchid potting mix. I moved the mix today to check the roots because I realized I didn't see any aerial roots. I found they aren't looking so good despite a new leaf recently emerging. This was my first time repotting an orchid so I'm scared I messed it up. What should I do to save this little guy?! #helpneeded

#PhalaenopsisOrchid #OrchidLovers The miracles of garlic water! So a few weeks ago my orchid started to wither and try to die in orchid bark. She had a cup full of root rot. I brought my orchid Aria Mae to Chadwick Orchids of Richmond. They repotted her in sphagnum moss and suggested garlic water to help fight the infection. Let me tell you she has three new roots growing that I can see!!! She also has new leaves growing!!! Look at the before and after pictures.

The miracles of garlic water! A few weeks ago Aria Mae decided to create a cup full of root rot. I rushed her to the orchid specialist Chadwicks Orchids or Richmond in the hope to save her life. While there I switched her back to straight spagnum moss. In addition, they suggested that I make garlic water to help her develop new roots and just improve the overall health of the plant. Since then she has started growing leaves and has new roots growing as well. Look at these before and after photos.
