I have had my orchid for at least two years. It came with flowers on it but since they died it has not bloomed again. It still grows new leaves but no flowers. What can I do to make it bloom again? #PhalaenopsisOrchid

NOOOOOOO!!! ššš my new spike š© So, my orchidās life story, for context: I had a gorgeous post-funeral sympathy orchid forced upon me almost exactly a year ago. I was not exactly thrilled, as my only experience with one in the past was a brief love/hate affair that ended in disappointment. But everyone was like āhere, youāre the plant galā - and it was too stunning to abandon. It had two huge gorgeous spikes with a ton of blooms that were picture perfect from Nov 2024 until I think almost March/April 2025, when it finally finished bloomingā¦then over the summer I somehow managed to bring it back to life after having to cut off almost all of the roots due to a nasty case of rot that went unnoticed for too long. To my absolute shock, not only has it grown a ton of new roots, and consistently put out new leaves, but it recently sprouted two new spikes that are between 4-6ā tall already. Yesterday it got an overdue luxury spa treatment as it was super dry, so I was giving it a good soak in a bath of distilled water and diluted fertilizerā¦but thanks to the annoying top heavy nature of these things that I can never get used to, I accidentally knocked it off the counter. I thought it was ok, as it landed upright and didnāt even fully come out of the pot, but, I just happened to notice some real carnageā¦.the top inch of the big spike broke off š. Will it recover?? Or is that spike going to be stunted now and stop growing? A whole small branch of blooms snapped off last year, and never grew back, but that was an offshoot of the main spike, not too noticeable, and near the end of the bloom anyway. Does this spike stand a chance of recovery and pushing new buds out since itās just growing?? Sorry for the long winded rant- Iām in a state of half furious-half devastated, and too busy kicking myself, to be articulate š TL;DR - orchid foul. Dropped and snapped off tip of new spike. Please tell me there is hope⦠#GregGang #PhalaenopsisOrchid #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

I canāt decide š sheās currently in a southern facing kitchen window above the sink. What are your other tips and tricks? Letās help her thrive!! #OrchidLovers #OrchidOrg #help #GregGang

Ice as plant care? I was gifted a beautiful #PhalaenopsisOrchid and was told to put ice in it as part of its care. Is this a thing? How does ice work in helping the plant?

My plant has moved into dormancy and has very green shiny leaves. Im noticing that despite my watering schedule the leaves are no longer firm and showing signs of stress. Im cornered about root rot. Pot has lots of holes. Thoughts #PhalaenopsisOrchid
