About flowering peperomia
Did you know Peperomia plants belong to the pepper family, along with black peppercorns? Their fruits and seeds have traveled one of the longest distances ever recorded, over 3000 miles to an island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, while stuck to a bird's feet! 🦅 They can be easily propagated by leaves which make them super easy to share with friends!

Finding light for flowering peperomia in your home
a window
flowering peperomia may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of flowering peperomia in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize flowering peperomia
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your flowering peperomia after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

For every success there’s another issue 🤦 My Echeveria is potentially sending out a flower stalk, which is great. But this darling? Nope. She’s just not having it apparently. She was in her nursery soil for ages and I think it had peat moss that went hydrophobic, so I repotted her. She was starting to wilt a bit so I assumed that the soil wasn’t taking up water properly. It’s a mixture of old soil really: coir, perlite, potting soil. Her plant card said that she liked well-draining soil so I thought this would be fine. I gave her a biiiig drink and put her back on my bedside table. It’s quite dark there, the only light she gets really is from my (regular) LED lamp, and she’s quite far from the window. I thought she looked a bit floppy due to the stress of repotting so I put her under my grow light with some other plants to give her some extra light. Theeeenn she got floppier, so I moved her onto my piano; right by the western window, and it’s winter so no harsh sun. What I will say is that it is quite close to the radiator, so that could be a factor. Shes just getting floppier by the day really. I only repotted her two or three days ago. I’ve given her some good drinks but her root system is actually quite small so I’m not sure how much she’s taking up. She’s also started dropping leaves now, so I thought that I should probably ask for advice at this point. Is this just a temperamental type of plant or is she stressed?? Or have I done something wrong? She seemed completely fine on my bedside table for ages, it’s only when her soil got so dry that it pulled away from the pot did this become an issue!! Her plant card picture is her when she was fresh from the nursery btw. #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #Peperomia #teardroppeperomia #help #repotting

Does once a month seem like it would be 🆗 for watering now that we are in December. I'm in SC but it's still cold here so it's indoors. Watered today 12/10 since 11/11 b/c it finally dried out. Also concerned abt those raised brown spots in pic 2. #Peperomia

No pests, what’s going on? #Peperomia #ViningPeperomia #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict is it the chemicals in the water? I can’t see any visible pests.

My peperomia was potted in way to big of a pot when I bought it so it rotted. I chopped it from the trunk and stuck it in water and now it's rooting. What should my next move be? Will it be successful in soil? #Peperomia

On top of my #FreshLeafFriday post, i also for some reason decided to do up a miniature 'creative planting' with my Monstera Thai Const. It was leaning sooo much, but i didn't have a pole or stake available. I originally wanted to just put a medium-sized rock underneath, but then i somehow ended up using some sticks used for aquascaping, then decided it's too barren and covered it with plants. All well, anyways here's the pot setup and the plants. There's some moss i found in my Alocasia 'Low Ruffles' pot [which REALLY needs repotting, shush shush 🤫], Peperomia prostrata cuttings and Ficus punctata [AKA Ficus 'Panama'] cuttings as well. On the second photo, i also placed an itty bitty baby fern [Microsorum pteropus 'Trident'] amongst the moss, if you can see it. I'll update again if requested or if i inadvertently add more 'detail plants'. I'll have to figure out the repotting another time. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #MonsteraMob #ThaiConstellation #ThaiConstellationMonstera #Terrarium #Peperomia #peperomiapals #Ficus #FicusGang #FicusFam

Glow so slowly My #Peperomia plant hasn't grown much - if at all - in the last 4 months. Is it normal for this time of the year or is my plant baby sick?

Turtle growth?? #Peperomia Last time I watered my string of turtles I used the dunk/ submerge method for the 1st time. Since then, it has grown several long bumpy tips on the vines. There is new turtle growth, but more so on the base of the vines. What’s up with the long tentacles (for lack of a better word)? Is this normal/ ok? #NewGrowth #NewPlantMom #StringOfTurtles #whatarethose #help
