The pot is rather big and without drainage. These two factors may easily lead to overwatering.
1) The roots, which are rather small and shallow, do not absorb water from so much soil in a big pot. So, roots sit in water for too long.
You'll make it easier for yourself and for the plant if you repot it to a pot with drainage and to a pot that is smaller.

Hi @wearenature does your pot have drainage? How long has this been happening?
@wearenature The pot might be too large, but more importantly, no drainage is an issue.
As other said, they donβt like to be waterlogged and a terracotta pot might help get rid of excess moisture. My baby rubber plant went through this too. I had first treated it for pests, and chopped off the damaged leaves. As long as you keep your chopping to less than 30% it will bounce back and fill out nicely.
Chopping and grooming the plant wonβt hurt and it will inspire new growth.
