Finding light for Lightning Ludisia in your home
a window
Lightning Ludisia may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Lightning Ludisia in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Lightning Ludisia
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Lightning Ludisia after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Hi #JewelOrchid

My #JewelOrchid is beginning to bloom, and patience is not my forte so I can’t wait until all of the little tiny buds open up to post about it 🤭 There are two fully open and six about to bloom, with more close behind! 😍🌿🤍 Look how tiny and delicate they are! And I have to say, I find this much easier to care for than a traditional orchid—though I think I’m getting the hang of that! I’m going to start collecting jewel orchids, because I’ve been seeing some with truly beautiful leaves out there! @CourtlyKingfern has one that’s to die for. And I think @Prentyce might too if I remember correctly? Anyway. I love this. It’s lovely. So pretty. So dainty. I need more. The end. ♥️🌿🤗 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #FloweringPlants #OrchidLovers #PLANTMAFIA #babevila

What does she need? #JewelOrchid My jewel orchid is growing out a bit crazy. I’m not sure what she needs. Does she need support to grow upwards like a monstera? Is she just going to grow down and out like a pothos? Should I chop her back so she can grow fuller? I’m not sure what she needs but I know it’s something. #OrchidLovers #whatsmyplantneed
