How to fertilize Coulter's Hibiscus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Coulter's Hibiscus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Has anyone cross pollinated hibiscus? I would like to try cross pollinating my two hibiscus. It’s tricky with the one, as its flowers only last for one day. 🌺 If any of you have done this successfully, I would love to know what interesting results you ended up with. 😁 #Hibiscus #HappyPlants #pollination #FloweringPlants

I have four #ChineseHibiscus plants, and they all struggled last winter when I brought them inside. It was my first time overwintering them and I did some things wrong. Lessons learned and I won’t make the same mistakes when I bring them in this year! Two of them have struggled a bit to produce flowers this summer, but I neglected to fertilize them (though I did repot in fresh soil at the beginning of spring) so I think that and just trying to recover from the winter could be the reasons. ANYWAY, this girl has struggled the most and all but one branch died last winter! She didn’t put out her first flower until a few weeks ago. BUT, I woke up this morning to this gorgeous double bloom! 😍💖🌺 Diana, you’re doing great and I promise to do better this winter! #HappyPlants #OutsidePlants #OutdoorGrowing #Hibiscus #BeautifulBlooms #NewGrowth #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #babevila

I recently received my plant in the mail as a gift. I transferred it to an appropriate sized pot and now I've had a lot of leaves die off. How long should it take to recover from the transplant shock? #ChineseHibiscus
