Finding light for Hamatum Cactus in your home
Hamatum Cactus love being close to bright, sunny windows 😎.
Place it less than 1ft from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.

How to fertilize Hamatum Cactus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Hamatum Cactus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

This poor little moon cactus is not doing well, and I’m not sure why. I have another very healthy one. I bought Tim maybe 4-6 weeks ago, repotted to a slightly larger pot with cactus/succulent soil, fertilized and water infrequently. He was original next to his sister, and she is doing well. I can’t tell if he is over or under watered. Or if it’s root rot. Please help.

Well, I performed my first cactus surgery. I hope it's successful. Didn't notice when I first repotted it that there must have been some sort of tiny hole below the surface. Only watered it once since I've had them, and the others look great so I knew I didn't overwater. Took it out of the dirt, and there it is, a hole. I've learned to do a more thorough inspection. Please wish poor Tangerine luck! #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #propagationstation #newplantmom #cactusclique #cactus #mooncactus

Plant is dying. The stem is turning yellow from top down and the vibrant orange Areolas are turning brown. Unfortunately, I used a succulent plant fertilizer last week and in desperation watered from top down. How can I reverse the mistakes made? #MoonCactus
