Finding light for Geogenanthus ciliatus in your home
Geogenanthus ciliatus may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Geogenanthus ciliatus in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Geogenanthus ciliatus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Geogenanthus ciliatus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I recently repotted my plant as is grew beyond my thoughts so quickly. Now within a matter of 24 hours it’s lymph and edges slightly crispy. What did I do wrong? #GeogenanthusCiliatus

Geo leaves turning brown #GeogenanthusCiliatus It has well draining soil I mixed myself, its own personal humidifier that runs 24/7, and sits on a pebble tray. It gets bright but indirect sunlight and distilled water. The leaves that are brown are older. The newer ones seem to be doing better but I don’t know how to make it happier.

New plant, just need some pointers! Hello! I just joined Greg hoping to gain new knowledge on some of my newer plants. One plant that I'd love to gain more knowledge on is this beautiful Geo. If anyone can give me some helpful tips on caring for her I'd be so appreciative. #Geogenanthusciliatus

For any brave souls who have a #GeogenanthusCiliatus here is a little update on mine. I’ve found it extremely hard to keep happy. Even on a pebble tray and next to a humidifier, the leaves got crispy and I cut most of them off. So far it’s a #NeverAgainPlant for me and does not spark joy. Have had some success using LECA with my Calathea so I figured I’d try with the Geo and see how it goes. Has anyone else tried this? #Geogenanthus #semihydroponics #PlantAddict #leca

New Geogenanthus Got myself an early bday gift! #GregGang meet my Geo. I’d been eyeing them online then saw this at the store for half the price…no way I was leaving without one. Look at those leaves! There are some more babies poking out from the bottom I’m excited to see soon. I stalked most of the posts about them but am looking for care advice, I feel like these can be tricky; tropical plants make me nervous. I know they need lots of water and the direct light was just for the photo op. 🤣 #wishlistplant #GeogenanthusCiliatus #trending #NewPlant #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict

What am I doing wrong? I got this beautiful Geognanthus a month or so ago. I have her in the bathroom, which has its own level of humidity, and also have her on a pebble tray for additional humidity. I'm still getting these brown dry spots though. What more must I do to get her to thrive??
