Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Hairy Fig after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Have you ever seen this before? I found this on the very top of my tallest stalk, 8ft, and almost touching my ceiling. This tree is at least 10 yrs old. Has never had any pest. I examined this very close and have not identified any pests that I am familiar with. It was repotted little over a year ago. I water with distilled water 5 1/2 cups when dry 6 inches down. Could these be blisters from water escaping through the leaves and bursting? I did remove all affected leaves. #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #ficusgang #ficuselastica #rubberplant #pestcontrol

Acclimation issues or more? #FiddleLeafFig Got this plant from Home Depot two weeks ago. In the basic nursery pot it came in (resting on a drainage tray in a “decorative” basket). Bottom leaves have been sagging and dropping a bit, but I expected some of that. It’s in my office, west window, gets direct light in afternoons (northeast US winter now). Two things I’m a little concerned about: first is it really seems root bound (Will show pic below) with uncovered roots up top, and also somewhat unstable in the pot, like it’s not anchored to much soil. This, in turn, is causing it to lean, most typically closer to the (cold) window pane and over the (warm dry) baseboard. Wondering if I should repot so it’s anchored more into the soil to correct the lean/looseness, and/or move it back from window to get it out of the cold window/warm dry heat dynamic (though it won’t get as much direct light)#. Other plants seem to be ok in similar spots.

Needing to cut this back, any specific pruning guide lines for this plant? #Ficus

#rubberplant #RubberPlant Hello plant family, I am still new in being a plant mom, why does my #RubberPlant seem like it's bent? Should I repot? How can I make it better?
