About Dracaena 'Michiko'
Did you know the genus name Dracaena comes from the Greek for ‘female dragon’? Some plants in this genus have thick, red resin which was reminiscent of dragon blood! 🐲 Dracaenas are native to Africa, Asia, and northern Australia, and are known for being super easy to care for. Wutcha think? "Dragon" has long been overgrown his container-pot. I kept telling him to wait until I recovered and I'd pot him up. Weeeeell... I was finally semi-capable so we had our day together. I DID NOT POT HIM UP. Instead while I had him on his side, I cut his leaves down and filled five(5) container-pots, 10" 8" 6" and two(2) 5" that I placed in two(2) of the upstairs bathrooms. I also planted a row of his rhizomes against the house. We'll see how wildly he grows throughout this GrowSeason. Wutcha think of his new look(s)? 🤭 #plantsmakepeoplehappy #snakeplant #igrowplants #dracaena #sansevieria #planttherapy #greggang
