How to fertilize Black Magic Elephant Ear
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Black Magic Elephant Ear after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

New to the app, but wanted to share my Black Magic Elephant Ear. It's got 6 leaves now that I've moved to a more tropical climate. Used to only be able to hold 4 leaves. #happyplants

Hey my leaves are turning crunchy and yellow. I showered it on 27 and roots look healthy but app says not to water for a week. It’s in full sun and I’m not sure if yellowing is from sun or water amount.

Got this beauty today! Meet Marceline! Can someone tell me what kind of colocasia/taro this is, please?

New dark magic elephant ear Got this almost a week ago, any advice? I’m new to big house plants and it has yet to be repotted. The employee at the nursery said it was having babies? Trimmed, wiped down and sprayed the top soil with a hydrogen peroxide, water and neem oil mix. It’s about 2-3 ft from a west facing window.

Voodoo my #colocasia black magic did not like being sprayed with insecticide. Honestly, I won't be buying another colocasia. 🤔 My alocasias have been more of a breeze than this genus. I'm beyond frustrated. #colocasia #spidermites #insecticide

Voodoo my #colocasia black magic has grown back enough for me to show you all. They grow back so fast 😯. I'm glad to see her back in full color. Isn't she beautiful!? #greggang #colocasia #plantsmakepeoplehappy

Hi, I bought a beautiful one today. I’m wondering how long they will live as an indoor houseplant? How old are yours?
-
Got a seed pod on my elephant ear! And she's only ever been am indoor plant. And look at all those fresh leaves. I've lost some leaves along the way but it was 30° out when I got her and brought her home so some shock was expected.

So excited! My $6 plant, who was not looking good, now has 2 babies and another new leaf!!
