How to fertilize Citrus Latifolia

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil itās likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Citrus Latifolia after it doubles in size or once a yearāwhichever comes first.

Does anyone know how to properly water Persian lime trees? I know they say to keep the trees moist with a spray bottle or rock tray. Does that count as watering?or do I need to water it like it said on the app and spray it everyday? #PersianLime

Why are the leaves yellowing? I bought this cute dwarf lemon tree 2 months ago and have noticed the leaves start to yellow in the last month. I have not repotted it, water it about every 4 days when soil is dry, itās outside facing south, Iām in Houston so itās hot. Should I start using fertilizer on it? If so what kind and how often? Thanks!

Lightening leaves on lemon plan Hello! Iāve noticed that my lemon plant has some leaves that are getting lighter. Is this related to over watering doughy stress or nutrient deficiency? It sat out in the heat for a few days while I was away over the weekend and then it got a good watering between my watering schedule and some torrential downpour. Just wondering if thereās anything I should be worried about.

So Iāve brought it inside and I have several limes growing but my leaves are starting to fall off, will the limes stay attached even if the leaves fall off? #KeyLime
Citrus Latifolia prefers for the soil to dry out between waterings and should be watered regularly. Use our water calculator to personalize watering recommendations to your environment or download Greg for more advanced recommendations for all of your plants.
āļø Sunlight Needs
Citrus Latifolia requires abundant, bright and direct light. Place it less than one foot from a window to ensure it receives enough light to survive šŖ. Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement in your home š”.
š¶ š š¶ Toxicity
Greg does not have confirmed data on this plantās toxicity. If you, a family member, or a pet consumes plant material of unknown toxicity, itās always best to consult a medical professional.
If you or someone else ingested this plant, call Poison Control at US (800) 222-1222. If a pet consumed this plant, contact your veterinarian or the ASPCA atĀ US (888) 426-4435.
šØ Humidity
Citrus Latifolia doesnāt require additional humidity. Plants absorb most water through their root system rather than their leaves, so the best way to provide humidity for your plants is through watering the soil.
šŖ“ Soil
Citrus Latifolia does best in well-draining soil. A good soil will contain lots of organic matter such as coco coir as well as perlite or vermiculite to help with drainage. Adding a handful of perlite to regular store-bought potting soil should do the trick!
š© Fertilizer
Citrus Latifolia grows very slowly and doesnāt require added fertilizer. Replacing your plantās potting soil once a year should provide them with more than enough nutrition. Remember, plants get their energy from sunlight, not fertilizer!
š Native Region
Citrus Latifolia is native to Southeast Asia and Australia.
š§ Troubleshooting
When troubleshooting a sad-looking houseplant, start by checking for signs of distress in its leaves, such as yellowing, browning, or drooping, which can indicate overwatering or nutrient deficiencies.
Inspect the soil moisture; too dry or too wet soil can cause problems.
Ensure the plant is getting the right amount of light, as too much or too little can stress it.
Finally, consider environmental factors like temperature and humidity, and adjust care routines accordingly to revive your plant.
