Begonia Jurassic Fire
About Begonia Jurassic Fire
There are over 2,000 species of Begonia, and horticulturalists have created even more varities by cultivating all sorts of shapes and colors! They're native to tropical regions around the world, but are now found in homes in cold climates as well. Their taxonomy is far more complex than other plants, with species belonging to different cultivar groups. They contain oxalic acid, so be sure to keep them out of reach in homes with pets or children! ⚠️

How to fertilize Begonia Jurassic Fire
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Begonia Jurassic Fire after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Help! My Black Mamba Begonia started so happy and tall but lately she’s droopy. She shares a shelf under a grow light and has a humidifier. By the looks of her leaves I’m thinking more frequent watering but I’m terrified of root rot. #Begonia #RexBegonia #help

Is there a way to remove a plant from the care schedule? I’ve given away/killed a few plants and would like to disable watering reminders. Is there a way to remove a plant from my watering schedule that allows me to keep the photos I’ve taken? #AskGreg #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants pictures unrelated.

My begonia doesn’t want to have leaves, help? My polka dot begonia was a little damaged when I got it, but has been steadily losing leaves. The leaves it’s losing have discoloured circular patches on them and I’ve barely got any left. There was some mould I got rid of on the soil and the stems are otherwise healthy. Advice? I’ve put a picture on of a recently lost leaf

Leggy… #Begonia I picked up a serratipetala and it is already pretty leggy. I want to repot it and let it adapt to the house before I start chopping it. Is there any chance the bare stems below the foliage will sprout new leaves or is it just doomed to be leggy until I chop and prop it?

Mold My Polka Dot Begonia has developed white mold on the surface of the soil, what should I do?

Propagation questions I’ve got several babies from a leaf propagation of Sonora that should probably be moved to a pot. Would it be all right to plant several in like a shallow 8-inch pot as long as I’m careful not to overwater? The tiny pots are impossible to keep moist so I would move those two babies in with their siblings. I guess what I’m asking is if I’ve got around six babies, will they do ok in a communal pot? #PropagationStation #Begonia #RexBegonia

I've had my begonia for about a year and topped it because it had no leaves below and was 4' tall. It started getting new leaves and looked great but now they are all falling off before maturity. Same with me clippings I started from it😞. Help!

Today is a sad day :( I got insanely sick for a few days and couldn’t even move so couldn’t do anything about my pest and fungus problem, and I came out yesterday to see Oli my begonia was INFESTED in spider mites, her leaves were disentergrating from the neem oil treatment, there was no saving her unfortunately :( so I did the hardest thing, many tears were shed. The first plant I’ve had to chop completely down to start again. 🥲 I also had to chop 3/4 leaves left on the cathelea, they are getting a repot out of the old soil and now going into isolation together in the greenhouse away from the other plants that have pests but can be saved! Please tell me I did the right thing? Because it feels so wrong right now 😭 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #PetsAndPlants #PlantCorner #PestControl #OutdoorGrowing #PlantLove #PlantShelfie
