How to fertilize Aspidistra huanjiangensis
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Aspidistra huanjiangensis after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Repot cast iron plant in winter? Hello! I've had this guy since the fall. I know you're supposed to repot in spring or summer but I noticed drooping leaves and then also saw how much the roots had grown through the pot. Can I repot now or should I still wait a few months till it's warmer? (I'm in Alberta, Canada, and spring arrives late here). #NewPlantMom

Some of the leaves are turning brown. Is that due to lo humidity? #CastIronPlant

First time plant mom. This is my cast iron and I’ve had her a week and just did her first water. So far so good. I repotted to a bigger pot based on reviews and basically google and this app gets credit for making it this far. Wish us luck. Hi everyone

I've had it for a couple of years. It has not grown any new leaves or gotten bigger in this time. Recently, I noticed one of the leaves turning yellow. Now it is completely yellow. Any suggestions to make it grow and not continue to get yellow leaves. #CastIronPlant

Leaf turning Hello. I got my cast iron in January and all was going well but, I have one leaf that’s turning. Which is weird to me as she’s also been growing a new stalk. Any ideas on what’s wrong or I need to change? I really water on schedule only and leave her be otherwise. 1st time plant owner just trying to keep her alive.

This has a burnt look on a couple of leaves.

Cast iron plant leaning? I replaced the soil in my cast iron plant in an effort to combat fungus gnats. Despite my best efforts to keep all pieces up straight, they are all leaning to some degree. Should I try again or leave it alone?
