How to fertilize Cook's Pine
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Cook's Pine after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Still weathering the cold snap after the tornado weather. This is my #HappyPlace - no room for any other person (except maybe the tiny 3 year old) and hopefully no room for that crazy cat! Now I'm waiting for the weather to warm! 🌱🪴💚☀️ #gregmug #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #SOBER #PlantAddict #PlayingWithPlantsInsteadOfWorking

My Norfolk Island pine has lots of scattered brown needles It’s in an EasyPlant self watering pot, by a humidifier, under a SolTech grow light and by a south facing window where I’ve mostly keep the blinds closed. I really don’t want to lose this plant. About 1.5 months ago it was in a different location and was dropping full lower branches. But now I have this entirely new problem :( #GrowLights

Does my little guy look ok? This guy has been with me for a few months but I haven’t seen any growth, does it need bright light? Last time I put it out by bright light it lost a few branches so I’m not entirely sure what to do here 😅 #NorfolkIslandPine

Hi! This baby is new to me and its branches keep yellowing and browning. It’s getting full sun on an East fast porch and I’m watering it when it’s dry. Any thoughts on why I keep losing branching? Is it still just acclimating? #NorfolkIslandPine

Norfolk Pine getting Crunchy? About a month ago I repotted my #NorfolkIslandPine into a smaller pot (the original pot was HUGE and was having problems with fungus gnats), and it seemed to be doing ok. Now it’s getting droopy, crunchy, and yellowed. ☹️ It sits under a grow light, has drainage, and has been watered in schedule. Any advice? Other than the pot, the big change was moving it to a spot directly below a grow light. The app doesn’t seem to say that’s an issue— but does it need to be somewhere with less light? #NorfolkIslandPine #helpneeded #droopy #WhatAmIDoingWrong #QueerPlantParents 😫🌿🫠

Leaning Pine My pine always has had a weak trunk and keeps leaning on one side cause the branches are too heavy (it even has a little pole attached, but it's not enough). I was hoping it would get stronger but now it's only getting taller and the situation is getting worse. Is there anything that can be done? Or should I just get a bigger pole to attach it to? #NorfolkIslandPine

I think I accidentally shocked him by bringing him outside in this heat. He’s browning a little but I pruned him and cut off the browning leaves. How do I save him #NorfolkIslandPine
