Apoballis Red Sword may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Apoballis Red Sword in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Apoballis Red Sword
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Apoballis Red Sword after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Thank you Plant Proper for my newest Plant, an Apoballis Acuminatissima Lavallaei, otherwise known on Greg as a Red Sword. She's beautiful!!

Help!! I just got this plant less than a month a go, and she is very unhappy. I had her next to other plants over a pebble tray and near an East-facing window. Her soil is moist but not waterlogged. Despite this, her leaves keep yellowing. I know this variety is relatively new, but can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I really don't want to lose this plant.

Why are there brown leaves? I am not sure it is a Chinese evergreen either

A reminder that plants are generally pretty hearty and not to panic when things don't go right! This has been Janai over the last week or so due to the freeze and lack of power inside. Look at how droopy she was! And today we are fully back up and standing tall. Just be patient, get the conditions right again, and remember don't panic! #ComebackStory #Brrrr #WinterCame #IWon #TipsandTricks #HappyPlants

Apoballis is so healthy! I don't know if this is helpful for anyone, but I have this baby completely away from a window, hanging out under a grow light that's on the very lowest light setting and it is #thriving! It was hard for me to figure out the right lighting conditions for this little guy, so I'm sharing this in hopes it will help someone else! I'm even seeing a #newleafalert 😀 #apoballis
