How to fertilize Anthurium arisaemoides

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Anthurium arisaemoides after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

What to do with the roots of fallen flowers? #Anthurium Hello, my plant dried out because I forgot to fill its self watering pot and the flowers got super delicate and fell off. It looked like they were near that time of falling off anyways as they had been flowered for a couple of weeks. So… I lost all my three flowers. What should I do with the three empty roots shown in the picture? Should I cut them with scissors and if so super low, middle or high? At an angle? what can I do to ensure it’s best chances of flowering again? I have obviously watered it since through the soil and filled the self watering pot

Meet my new friend. I finally got my first anthurium. Meet Auntie M, she’s a (crystallinnum x magnificum) x (crystallinnum x magnificum x forgettii). Maybe I should have named her Algebra🤣. Anyway I love her.

How often should I water? I read conflicting suggestions, i.e. 6 ice cubes once a week; water it until it drains out the bottom; and some say to keep it moist. I’m confused. lol #Anthurium

Can you give me #anthurium advice? Hey #greggang, As some of you may remember I purchased seeds from #seedlingraceseries and have been growing this vittarifollum cross since. It seems like it is mature enough I want to be sure I give it all that a mature plant needs. From the very little information I can find it seems like I just let it grow in a pot and know it's going to hang "sideways." That is about it. Any other advice? Right now it's in a south-facing window with no extra humidity. #anthuriumaddict #happyplants #newgrowth 🌱 #NewEnglandGregGang 🌱 #NortheastGregGang 🌱 #MaineGang 🌱 #ThePlantMompy

Plant Health Question I was given an Anthurium 2 months ago, cause he was gonna toss it for lack of care knowledge. I'm trying to help ot thrive, and have learned they get water once a week, and like a little humidity from time to time. In the time I've it, I reported it and have had 1 leaf start to slowly brown and die, while a new leaf has also grown in. No bloom yet. I'm new to these plants and am just hoping for helpful tips to keep it alive. Or maybe I fo, if this is like a dormant season or something.. Please and thank you

💨 Humidity
Anthurium arisaemoides prefers dry environments. Providing extra humidity or misting your plant allows water to linger on leaves, which can create the perfect environment for harmful types of fungi.
🪴 Soil
Anthurium arisaemoides is very sensitive to dry soil, so choose a potting soil that retains moisture. A good soil will still drain well and contain lots of organic matter such as coco coir or sphagnum moss.
💩 Fertilizer
Anthurium arisaemoides is a fast growing plant and may deplete the nutrients in its soil over time. Replenish them with a gentle organic fertilizer or compost every 1-2 months depending on your location and season. Fertilize more often during the growing season and in warmer and brighter climates.
❄️ Dormancy
It’s common for Anthurium arisaemoides to go dormant in the wintertime and you may notice their growth slow down. Waterings should be spaced out more during this time.
🌎 Native Region
Anthurium arisaemoides is native to the Americas.
🧐 Troubleshooting
When troubleshooting a sad-looking houseplant, start by checking for signs of distress in its leaves, such as yellowing, browning, or drooping, which can indicate overwatering or nutrient deficiencies.
Inspect the soil moisture; too dry or too wet soil can cause problems.
Ensure the plant is getting the right amount of light, as too much or too little can stress it.
Finally, consider environmental factors like temperature and humidity, and adjust care routines accordingly to revive your plant.
