About Aloe 'Swordfish'
Many people are familiar with Aloe vera, but this genus of plants contains tons of other beautiful succulent plants that come in all sorts of colors! Their succulent leaves evolved to store water in dry climates, which makes them a perfect fit if you're a busy plant parent. With great care (and a lot of sunlight) you may even see your Aloe bloom! Their flowers grow out of a large spike and can be shades of red, orange, and yellow. 🔥

How to fertilize Aloe 'Swordfish'

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Aloe 'Swordfish' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Pax has been growing longer leaves . When is it normal for an aloe to grow new leaves? Is it seasonal?

Squidward took its time and powered through its dormant season with some new growth popping up just in time for Spring ☺️! #NewGrowth #AloeVera #AloeHybridMixedVarieties #AloeAddicts #HappyPlants

Wooo! (I totally forgot about freshleaf friday ^^') Anyway- My succs are much happier with me. Still killing off leaves, but also growing new ones and new roots. And Magpie's new leaf is looking glorious so far! Should I be concerned with the direction and how close it's growing to the other leaf? I even potted my goldfish plant after accidentally letting algae grow in the water I was using to help it grow roots 😅 I don't check for one day and suddenly algae is everywhere I look. I'm letting the tradescantia cutting callous before trying again for roots •~• I've had no luck so far with the method of not letting it callous over before sticking in water. Keep in mind I don't have the budget to buy plant products (or anything really) at the moment I also finally got a piece of my dead jellybean to grow roots ^v^ I potted it cuz that also grew algae in the water. My chunky boi Flareblitz just keeps popping out new growth and is feeling nice and firm. #freshleaffriday #succulentsquad #thaiconstellation #thaiconstellationmonstera #monstera #newgrowth #sedum #jellybeanplant #plantsmakepeoplehappy #goldfishplant #tradescantia #aloe

Is something up with my aloe? I've had Inertia for almost 3 years and she's always been very healthy, but today I noticed her stem looked a bit brown and unstable (needs some support to stand). The rest of her looks quite healthy overall, and she's looked like this before and been fine, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. #questions #Succulent #PinkBlushAloe #Aloe

Venom, my Sidewinder Aloe, has grown substantially since being repotted & moved outside!! I love the patterning on his leaves-- reminiscent of a snake's scales. 🐍 #sidewinderaloe #aloe #succulents #happyplants #newgrowth #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #succulentsquad #succulentlove #jesssjungle #planttherapy #outdoorgrowing

How do I fix my Aloe Vera?!? It's droopy and turning a brown-ish color on the tops of the leaves, and I don't know how to fix it. I've tried moving her out of my windows, and I think it helped, but I'm not sure. #aloevera #aloe

#WhatTheSuccWednesday When I moved out of my mom’s I left a couple indoor succulents with her, with the intent to eventually move them with me.. but my mom ended up getting attached to them, and she had managed to keep them alive and they all have grown so much since I moved out, some of these I’ve had for 3+ years! I decided I couldn’t take them from her now.. so here are OUR succulents that are doing great! My mom doesn’t typically grow or buy succulents, so I wasn’t sure if she would be able to keep these alive (she tends to over water, as well) but they are all doing great! 1. Fire cracker aloe 2. Aloe Vera and it’s cousin are having issues. The aloe vera has a mind of its own, and the snowflake aloe is looking kind of skinny. #Aloe I put a piece of napkin under the top heavy part of the aloe vera. I’m planning on moving them both to terra cotta pots as well with the next replanting.

What's up with my aloe? My aloe is over 3 years old, and has always been very healthy. She still looks quite healthy on the surface, but her stem is very brown and it seems to be starting to wear out/grow narrower. She's also leaning quit a bit, which worries me. Not sure if this is just how she is or some indication of an actual problem. #questions #sickplants #Succulents #PinkBlushAloe #Aloe
