Alocasia Golden Bone
About Alocasia Golden Bone
Alocasias, commonly known as Elephant Ears, are some of the most common houseplants although their leaves can reach enormous sizes when grown outdoors! 🐘 They typically only support a few leaves at a time (more, when they get more sun!) so don't be concerned if you see an old leaf begin to retire after a new one emerges. They grow out of underground corms which are similar to bulbs, so next time you repot keep an eye out for baby Alocasias! They contain calcium oxalate crystals so be sure to keep them out of reach if you have children or pets! ⚠️

Finding light for Alocasia Golden Bone in your home
Alocasia Golden Bone may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Alocasia Golden Bone in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Alocasia Golden Bone
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Alocasia Golden Bone after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

A this a good thing??? I noticed Harmony about to drip 💧 water. The first time I got a drop of water on me and wasn’t sure where it came from. The other day I was checking on her and noticed this, I had to take a picture to find out what’s going on. Can someone please explain?

My alocasia seems to have a really hard time. As usual, it was making a new leaf, so the old one gives away (I've never seen more than 3 leaves) Presently she's killing off the 2 that are left... What's happening?

Plant not dropping leaves? Guys i'm starting to get worried for my Alocasia 'Platinum'. It's been almost two months, and he still has yet to drop a leaf. He's got two new leaves already, one was maturing when i got him [so 2.5 leaves]. Am i overreacting? #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantLove #help #helpneeded #Alocasia #AlocasiaAddicts #alocasiaplatinum P.S., the largest leaf in the photo is the 0.5 leaf he grew. From this photo, he grew two more

#AlocasiaSilverDragon Hello plant friends! I got my lovely Draco the dragon on September 13th and I still have him in his grow pot. My question is should I repot him and if so into what soil and pot type? He seems fine so far and we’re creeping into Autumn but I don’t want to cause him undue stress. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #AlocasiaAddicts #Alocasia #AlocasiaSilverDragon #RepotSeason #help

How do I do it right ? So since winter is coming and it’s getting cold where I live I have a question she is right know standing by a window that is open quite frequently. I wonder if I should move her and her buddy’s somewhere else but the only real option would be a bathroom without a window. I have a grow light but not really a plan on how to use it right has anyone tips on what I should do and how many hours with the grow light the would need ? #HappyPlants #AlocasiaAddicts #Alocasia
