How to fertilize Alocasia Antoro Velvet

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Alocasia Antoro Velvet after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Happy #FreshLeafFriday Friends!!! This guy still has me questioning his happy place, but he’s at least telling me he’s okay for now!! I finally have new growth!!!!! 🥰
-
I have a leaf on my alocasia frydek that is turning a yellow/brown color. Does that mean it’s getting too much sun? This is my first variegated plant. She’s about 3 feet from my window and does get a little direct sun.

Why do my Alocasia leaves droop?
-
I just got this plant at the beginning of April from Lowe’s. It came in a self watering pot. I’ve taken care of it per the directions so far but noticed this leaf completely yellowed. I’m brand new to house plants, help!! 😂
-
Help please! #GiantTaro my plant was starting to yellow and I figured it needed to be repotted. I found that it was root bound so I loosened it a bit and repotted but that seems to have accelerated the yellowing.

My #Alocasia has begun to come back. I want to share this success story as I was nervous it wouldn’t come back after I butchered it last September, (while attempting to stop the flowering process in favor of foliage) but it’s recovered! Don’t lose hope. 💛 🌱 🪴 You can see the progression from two nubs last September to two leaves plus two new leaves coming (see screenshots of the change). #AlocasiaAddicts next time I will make sure to only cut the new flower and not the petiole where new foliage can grow. This took 4-6 months to come back.
