About Black Prince
There are hundreds of plants belonging to the Echeveria genus, each with its own unique colors and patterns. The wild species are native to Central America and were named after the botanical illustrator Atanasio Echeverría y Godoy. They're super easy to grow as long as they get lots of sunlight. ☀️ They can be easily propagated by stem or leaf, making it easy to catch 'em all!

How to fertilize Black Prince
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Black Prince after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Had this plant for a few days and it hasn’t grown any roots, I haven’t been giving it much water but after seeing one of the leaves shriveled I gave it more. I’m not seeing that the bottom of the plant is turning white. What does this mean? #Echeveria

How to propagate? My echevaria has had it rough. But before I could throw her away, I noticed she had two growths coming in. How for I prop these? Pop them off and into soil? Leave them? I've never had successful growths before. #succulentsquad #succulentlove #plantaddict #plantsmakepeoplehappy

From bright green to dark red/purple My black prince went from a bright green color to a dark red, almost purple shade over the course of the Summer. Is this normal or something to be concerned about? #Echeveria

Echevaria woes I have three echevaria, and two of them, my firecracker and my black prince, are showing some weirdness. What are these spots on them, and why is my black one stretching? They were all in windows, in the east, then the south. Should I behead the stretched one?

Rot? My #Echeveria has some less than ideal looking spots on the leaves. Thinking it’s fungal but just hoping for a second opinion on what to do. Thanks!

My leaves are closing up, please help. Should I repot? #Echeveria

How do I know when to plant these in soil? And once planted, about how often should I water it and bottom or top watering? I'm new to the propagation methods and timing! Thank you so much for your advice! #Echeveria

Found this at Trader Joe’s and I couldn’t resist. Edit: Greg identified them as tree aeonium and pearl echeveria. Is Greg right? #PlantAddict #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #traderjoesplants

Dark speckles🥺 So the past few days I’ve noticed my succulent dropping some leaves, which initially I was attributing to the weather cooling down but when I pulled off the leaves that had wilted and dried up I noticed some dark speckles on the underside of the leaves I had taken off and on the remaining leaves. Does anyone know what this may be and if so, what would be your recommended methods of treating? Many thanks friends💗 #SucculentSquad #Succulents #Echeveria #GregGang #planthelp #help
