Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.

To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Croton 'Petra' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Why does she keep dropping leaves?! #Codiaeum my poor little plant has been dropping leaves ever since I rescued her from behind a garbage. (Maybe there’s a reason it was tossed…) The branches still seem to be alive and passed the scratch test, but I don’t know how to make the leaf dropping stop. It’s currently next to a south facing window. And I use filtered water. Maybe more light? I welcome insights

I was off from work for about 14 days and came back to my plant looking like this. Can it be saved? Is my question. I know the app told me to water it; however, my job was closed for 5 of those days #Codiaeum

fungi? I'm making another post cause maybe I connected the dots on how my pothos got fungi but I'm not really sure. a week ago I brought home the croton, it had this weird leaf when I bought it and it's like that since. If there's a possibility that the croton had fungi it's really easy that me touching it and my other plants brought the infection on my pothos. If by watching the leaf y'all think it's not the case I'll just spray my pothos with fungicide. the yellow is crotos the green in pothos.

Brown and dry leaf I just got this plant, a company had it exposed for an event as decoration, when I knew they were going to throw it I took it home, so I don't really know anything about the plant and it started making these brownish dry leaf on one side, should I be worried? I don't really know how to keep it btw I'm kind of a beginner so what's your suggestions on watering / fertilisers? I also use a nebulizer cause I read online that it's good for this plant. #Codiaeum

All you need for this plant is a bright window and a humidifier🤷🏽♀️ It doesn’t get any simpler than that. My croton’s soil is always moist because if the humidifier, and he is THRIVING!!!!🗣🥲 He makes me proud tbh. A few of his leaves did drop as he was adjusting to his new environment, & i was adjusting to him. But I realized that if I keep the humidifier going basically 25/8, he bursts and surprises me w new leaves and beautiful colors on each new leaf😍 I recommend him to anybody that can keep a humidifier very close to him while he’s in the window. & get them smalllll.. with like 5 leaves on them so you can watch him grow. It’s so beautiful!🥰

Love this plant, I purchased it from home depot brought it back from the dead. It’s one of my fastest growing plants, it does require frequent watering in a well drained pot and lots of sunlight to thrive but the beautiful colorful leaves make it worth it

When I first brought her home, she dropped all her leaves from the stress. Typically this would’ve sent me into a panic but I had previously read that was normal for a croton, that information helped me relax through her adjustment. I love this plant and would highly recommend!
