When the old pine tree in the front yard died, my husband had it carved for me for my birthday/Christmas/anniversary present in 2020. We found the guy because we drove past one of his carvings in town (a fireman, I will need to get a picture). He does everything with chainsaws! Our dead pine tree is now Oswald the owl, Milo the mouse, and Stanley the squirrel. (Stanley is carved a little differently and he reminds me of the Flat Stanley books!) I kept one half and gave the other half to my mom’s caregiver. The last month has been difficult with my dad being hospitalized and my husband and I needing to move my mom, who has dementia, into our home and set up in home care while we work on finding a skilled nursing facility for her. My mom truly loves Lila (she wants to go home with her in the evening and that makes my heart smile!) And Lila loves plants. She loves my Calathea and so I was happy to gift her a piece of Cathie! The low cost was already a steal but an additional $20 was taken off at check out! My research (Google Lens) tells the shades are vintage milk glass.
