Just want to share a sweet moment that happened this morning with a neighbour and this geranium: We have a local community Facebook group where people give away or swap plants. Someone was coming by to pick up an Amaryllis that I was giving away. I’ve been thinking about giving away my geranium as well but just hadn’t posted it in the group yet. But for some reason I just thought maybe I’ll check if this person would like the geranium as well since she’s already coming. So I asked her and she said yea, and when I gave both plants to her she told me her aunt loved geraniums and that ever since she passed away, she would be buy a geranium each year in her aunt’s memory and put it out on her balcony. This was her first year where she hadn’t bought one yet and was looking for one, and I just happened to have one waiting for her. I loved seeing how happy she was, and I can’t help but feel like these moments were meant to happen this way. Like i was meant to hold on to that plant until she came by even though I’ve been thinking about giving it away for weeks. Or of course it could all just be one big coincidence 😅 but I like the “meant to be” theory more. But anyways, it just made me feel all warm inside and I wanted to share here.
