Rescued this from a Santa Cruz curb! Main plant blooming (monocarpic, I know), top cutting in water & rooting. Should I move cutting to soil now or let it finish in water? Also, inland Sacramento summer tips for a coastal plant?

Hello my loves 🫶🌿 Happy Tuesday #TheWateringHole , or should I say, happy #untidytuesday 😏 (It’s ALWAYS #untidytuesday at my house, ha ha ha! 😂😄…🥺😭😭 ) It’s been hot here, the last few days (80° F 🥵) and we are all looking forward to rain 🌧️ ☔️ tomorrow and in the 60°’s again, ahhh 🧘‍♀️. Plus that means I might not have to water anything outside 🤞🤞 I’ve been putzing around, doing planty chores, and checking on all my props from @IdPlantThat 🥰 Practically EVERYONE has been doing great 🙌 My new favorite method of propagating!: Perlite + a ziplock bag + my own hot air 🌬️ I live in a cool, wet climate, as most of you know already, and I had horrible luck with sphag. It always molds 🦠 instantly, or at least, within 12 hours 😵‍💫 I love this perlite + bag method because it is not inducive to mold growth, roots grown in perlite are more like soil roots already, and each bag is its own humidity box AND quarantine station! Sharing my experiment to see if a succulent prop could survive in a hydroponic system. I put two sedum adolphi leaf props in rockwool as soon as they had some roots. One died, but this other one is doing great. I’m tempted to try an echeveria next. Thoughts? #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Hydroponics #Sedum #GoldenSedum #Echeveria

UPDATE My flowering young desert rose (Thar) has finally started to bloom, and after doing some research, I found that this little one might be an Adenium socotranum; which would explain why it looks so different from the rest of its seedmates. Honestly, I thought it was elongating despite being in full Florida sun 😅 (family photo below). This also means that there is a good chance that I wasn't ripped off and these little guys are in fact different species I just have to wait for another one to flower to be 100% sure. For now, I'll just gush at how cute, unique, and chubby they all are currently 😙. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #SucculentLove #RarePlants #SucculentSquad #Succulents #Succulent #DesertRosePlant #FloweringPlants #flowerpower

My Oh Happy Plants soil came today! Now I have to figure out how much to mix with my bonsai Jack soil to get the right aeration ratios for my plants out in the greenhouse and inside the house.🤪 I’ve got such different conditions in these places and such a variety of plant species that it’s quite a learning experience. I may be obsessing too much but I’m having fun so who cares. #HappyPlants #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #TheWateringHole
