ACE Hardware #planthaul !! They had 75% off all of their plants! I spent $50 all together for 12 succulents, a #RoyalHawaiianBlackCoralColocasia, a big pink #cordyline , some pretty #Coleus, and 2 of these cold hardy Georgia Peach #CoralBells that I am going to plant in the ground. The #succulents were 99cents each!!! I am totally in love with the #Colocasia and I feel like I should have gotten another one! Lol. They all look so healthy. Today was #nycgreggang meet up! Unfortunately due to some unexpected illness @AwesomePlants couldn't make it(boo his 😔) thankfully she's ok and did join us for facetime while at the nursery. So @LatiTish84, @MrsSmith and I met up at Rosedale nursery in Hawthorne NY and did a lil plant shopping. Got a bit to eat. Hit the HD conveniently located down the road and had an all around good time. There were alot of laughs as we knew there would be but Awesomes presence was definitely missed. Hopefully we can plan another get together soon and maybe with a larger group. Good morning #GregGang! In the past week or so, there have been a few posts showing our creativity with naming plants and gifting. So naturally, I decided we need a group where we share ideas about plant stands, greenhouses and their setup, storage, etc. So… if this sounds like something you’d enjoy, join #PlantStorageandDecor! I finally ordered three of my wishlist plants and I could not be happier. Got some little #wishlistplant from #plantproper! I had to take advantage of that Labor Day sale! Got a Philo Ring of Fire, a Paraiso Verde, a gorgeous Hoya Burtoniae, and a variegated Syngonium 😍 all for less than $35! And since #BennyTheTreeFrog is asleep right now, here is his friend #BonnieTheTreeFrog who I discovered this week lives in the begonias on my deck! She also has a tiny baby that is smaller than a US quarter (I can’t think of anything universally descriptive because I’m still half asleep). I will post baby frog pics in the comments 🐸 Anyway so excited to get these beauties for such a steal! I can’t believe I forgot to post about the amazing #PlantHaul I managed to score tonight 😳 My fiancé has figured out the way to my heart is plants. He sent me $40 today to “get yourself a nice new plant after work.” I don’t need to be cajoled 🤣 I had to stop at Hannaford on the way home anyway. I didn’t see much that caught my eye, except this beautiful little #PhilodendronMicans. I’ve been wanting one for a while and this one looks nice and healthy. Yay! 😁 I was about to leave it at that, but on my way out of the produce/plant section, I happened to look up for some reason, and hanging above my regular line of sight was THIS. STUNNING. BEAUTY. I stopped in my tracks. It was huge. No way I could afford it. I wrangled it down from the rod it was hanging on. It weighed at least ten pounds. It had 3 or 4 vines hanging nearly to the floor when I was holding it. I checked the price tag. $22.99 😮😵‍💫🥰🪴🛍️🥳🤗💖 (emoji representation of immediate aftermath). Still can’t believe this score. Surprise #PlantHaul! Excuse the bathroom pics 😂 best light in the house right now! My fiancé bought me these to congratulate me on quitting smoking! 😍🥰😇 It’s such a hard habit to break, at least for me it was, but I am going strong 💪🏼 I’m super proud of myself and he is proud of me, too! I have been blessed with plants this year! Yesterday (June 13) was my birthday, and my bestie @theloveofplants sent me TWO big boxes of plants! One was delivered yesterday and one is still en route. Pics 2-5 are only a few of the beauties she gave me, and omg. I’m so grateful and happy to have these lovelies! I can’t even pick a favorite, and I can’t believe I still have another box of plant goodness to look forward to! Maybe, just maaaaybe, my mom and I just went a bit crazy when we saw that the grocery store - unable to keep up with watering during Christmas time - was throwing out orchids. Severly dehydrated, but definitely all saveable, for 1€. We each took several (we will find space, right? *right???*) and even two extras. Mine is the gorgeous slightly pink brassia (because I just couldn't help myself, just look at those blooms. And it's huge, very probably two mature plants in one pot), for the ridiculous price of 8€ and my mother even haggled for hers, the deeeeep pink one (an oncidopsis? Whatever it is 🤷‍♀️), because, you know, one budding bloom was ripped off. 1€🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. No damage, nothing, pristine condition, maybe blooms on the way out in one or two weeks or so. Probably the coolest plant haul of my life! First, I finally got a wishlist plant (that I have waited way too long for!) - a Philodendron Red Moon. This plant is BEAUTIFUL! The variegation is amazing! And if anyone is looking for quality rare plants, I HIGHLY recommend rak729 on Etsy. She is absolutely amazing. Her plants are beautiful and she responds so quickly if you have questions. That is now my go-to shop! She didn’t actually have this plant in stock, I messaged her and inquired about a red moon and in 3 days she found me one and shipped it out the same day! I love her shop!❤️ Secondly (from a different seller), my tissue cultures have arrived! I got a Philodendron Jungle Fever (wishlist plant!), a Musa “Nono” Pink Variegated Banana tree, and a Philodendron Red Anderson. My seed tray will be here tomorrow so I’m going to deflask and start acclimation tomorrow! I’ve been exceedingly lucky the past two weeks, plant-wise! My girl @SunflowerSunset snagged me this beautiful Aglaonema Pink Emerald, my amazing, kind, thoughtful coworkers gave me this absolutely gorgeous Philodendron Red Anderson for Bosses’ Day, and I found a variegated umbrella tree (my mom has always had one, so I’ve been wanting one for sentimental reasons), and I also scored a very cheap inch plant and Tea Anemone Hoya! $5 each for those two! And, my mom’s friend gave me two cuttings from her Hawaiian Pothos, along with a rooted neon pothos that I’m going to add to my existing one to give it some volume. Maybe, just maaaaybe, my mom and I just went a bit crazy when we saw that the grocery store - unable to keep up with watering during Christmas time - was throwing out orchids. Severly dehydrated, but definitely all saveable, for 1€. We each took several (we will find space, right? *right???*) and even two extras. Mine is the gorgeous slightly pink brassia (because I just couldn't help myself, just look at those blooms. And it's huge, very probably two mature plants in one pot), for the ridiculous price of 8€ and my mother even haggled for hers, the deeeeep pink one (an oncidopsis? Whatever it is 🤷‍♀️), because, you know, one budding bloom was ripped off. 1€🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. No damage, nothing, pristine condition, maybe blooms on the way out in one or two weeks or so. Probably the coolest plant haul of my life! First, I finally got a wishlist plant (that I have waited way too long for!) - a Philodendron Red Moon. This plant is BEAUTIFUL! The variegation is amazing! And if anyone is looking for quality rare plants, I HIGHLY recommend rak729 on Etsy. She is absolutely amazing. Her plants are beautiful and she responds so quickly if you have questions. That is now my go-to shop! She didn’t actually have this plant in stock, I messaged her and inquired about a red moon and in 3 days she found me one and shipped it out the same day! I love her shop!❤️ Secondly (from a different seller), my tissue cultures have arrived! I got a Philodendron Jungle Fever (wishlist plant!), a Musa “Nono” Pink Variegated Banana tree, and a Philodendron Red Anderson. My seed tray will be here tomorrow so I’m going to deflask and start acclimation tomorrow! I’ve been exceedingly lucky the past two weeks, plant-wise! My girl @SunflowerSunset snagged me this beautiful Aglaonema Pink Emerald, my amazing, kind, thoughtful coworkers gave me this absolutely gorgeous Philodendron Red Anderson for Bosses’ Day, and I found a variegated umbrella tree (my mom has always had one, so I’ve been wanting one for sentimental reasons), and I also scored a very cheap inch plant and Tea Anemone Hoya! $5 each for those two! And, my mom’s friend gave me two cuttings from her Hawaiian Pothos, along with a rooted neon pothos that I’m going to add to my existing one to give it some volume.
