Hello everyone, I hope you are well. The big reason why I don’t post any photos of my indoor plants is because I don’t have any plants indoors. I am in growing zone 9B. So I post photos of my outdoor plant activities including many photos I have taken while hiking and mountain biking. I have a particular fascination with pollinator plants and cypress trees. Since this is a “green things that grow “ site. I will name the plant first. This is a Lantana with a visiting gulf fritillary butterfly. My lithops are FINALLY splitting!! I’ve had these guys for about two years with nothing really happening but yesterday I checked in on them for the first time in awhile and I saw that they were splitting! I know it’s too early for them to but can’t really do much about it now 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s so cool though! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #SucculentLove

My husband thought it would be funny creeping out from the side yard while I was taking photos of our rare sunflower. It’s the only chocolate one we got this year after planting several seeds. We have fun gardening together sometimes, 😅

My broken ankle and the heat down here has decimated my succulent collection. My daughter has tried to keep up with the watering that with everything else she’s had to do taking care of me It just was impossible for her to give them all the attention I usually can do. So we brought them all inside and I had to toss the dead ones and try to salvage the limp ones and the ones that had dropped a lot of their lower leaves. So far it looks like some of them are coming back and pumping out, but I just heard on PBS that melatonin enhances the root growth of plants! Since I have a bottle of melatonin, and it doesn’t do me any good I think I’m going to try to make up the solution for these poor little babies that are root damaged I’m sure. If any of you have ever done this, let me know what you think and how you did it. Hello everyone, I posted this as, kind of a joke. 🃏I found this growing on my property. Here is some “beautiful” 🧐flowering stink vine 😷also known as a Chicken Excrement Plant 🐓💩 and Flatulent 💨Vine. It is growing in with the muscadine 🍇. I thought the flowers 🌻 looked cool so I took a photo. 📸 This stuff smells like a skunk 🦨 when it’s wet. Hey guys! Many of you know about my obsession with Tradescantia. I'm especially fond of the zebrina species, and have been gradually collecting them in hopes to one day have all 23 (yep, there are 23 different zebrina cultivars!). My most recent acquisition is the newest official zebrina cultivar called 'MaeVerde'. The lady who named it and got it registered also happens to run my favorite Etsy shop, and I got lucky and snagged the very first one she put up for sale! Hello everyone, I hope you had a great day. When I got back home today, the first thing I did was check my milkweed. All the aphids were gone. I did spray Neem oil on them earlier before my original post. Thank you so much for all your help. I truly appreciate it.🪴🌻🧑‍🌾, I took a spray hose and sprayed the plants thoroughly. Kind of excited about some “not junk mail” ? Apparently the Arbor Day foundation has noticed me for planting trees. Hello everyone, I posted this as, kind of a joke. 🃏I found this growing on my property. Here is some “beautiful” 🧐flowering stink vine 😷also known as a Chicken Excrement Plant 🐓💩 and Flatulent 💨Vine. It is growing in with the muscadine 🍇. I thought the flowers 🌻 looked cool so I took a photo. 📸 This stuff smells like a skunk 🦨 when it’s wet. Hey guys! Many of you know about my obsession with Tradescantia. I'm especially fond of the zebrina species, and have been gradually collecting them in hopes to one day have all 23 (yep, there are 23 different zebrina cultivars!). My most recent acquisition is the newest official zebrina cultivar called 'MaeVerde'. The lady who named it and got it registered also happens to run my favorite Etsy shop, and I got lucky and snagged the very first one she put up for sale! Hello everyone, I hope you had a great day. When I got back home today, the first thing I did was check my milkweed. All the aphids were gone. I did spray Neem oil on them earlier before my original post. Thank you so much for all your help. I truly appreciate it.🪴🌻🧑‍🌾, I took a spray hose and sprayed the plants thoroughly. Kind of excited about some “not junk mail” ? Apparently the Arbor Day foundation has noticed me for planting trees.
